My first time trying Hakka food, and I'm definitely a fan! I really appreciated the attentive service and local business feel that Wok of Hakka offered. As a first timer, I asked for a recommendation and was obviously recommended the Chili Chicken. I was able to get this as part of the lunch special ($11).
The lunch special itself is a great deal. It comes with a vegetarian spring roll, soup of the day, entree, and white rice. I was contemplating upgrading the rice to fried rice, but I'm glad I stuck with the white rice to get the full flavour of the chili chicken. I really enjoyed the crispiness of the chicken and how it wasn't overshone by the sauce. I felt like the sauce could have a BIT more flavour - but it was still enjoyable. I also have never had it before, so wasn't sure what the taste should have been. I actually think my favourite thing was the soup of the day, which was a chicken corn soup and very delicious!
Overall, our meal for two was under $25 and extremely filling. Very happy with it.

One star because while we were having lunch a mouse showed up on the TV cable and for around 5 minutes that we waited there, no action was done and just waiting for the mouse to go back in his hiding.

DEEEEELICIOUSSSS!! I’ve been trying to find a place that serves delicious chili chicken in Vaughan so I don’t have to drive downtown! This exceeded my expectations. Went back tonight and ordered more, dragged my cousin along and she loved it too!

Food was ok compared to some of the other places I've been. It's disappointing when you see your coworker getting more meat with their food.
The food was not authentic Hakka food. It was difficult to eat the food as it lacked flavour. The sesame beef (crispy) was hard and broke apart when bit into. The Bombay fish was basically frozen fish that was fried and sprinkled with some spice lol. The chicken pakora was alright and probably the best thing we ordered. Unfortunately will not order again.

This place sounded very promising, reviews were great and food pictures looked inticing. Right when we walked in, the waitress looked very rude but we shrugged it off. We got seated and ordered, everything was good. Appetizers come in and we are disappointed with the lack of flavour from the fried chicken dumplings and the rawness of the chicken pakora. As our noodles came in, we were okay because it tasted good. Once the Manchurian chicken gravy got to us, one of us pointed out that there was a bad after taste. Everyone else ate anyway but once I ate the bombay chicken, it was really bitter. We sent back the Manchurian fried rice because of the extremely bland taste yet odd bitter after taste. The food was not it and was extremely disappointing. The service was just as terrible. The waitress had an attitude and was barely serving us. Pretty sure she was violating some food service health code by literally wearing open-toe-d slippers. Extremely poor service, she literally put the food on the edge of the table. We are not impressed and in fact very disappointed. I would give this place a -1 star if I could. Do not come here, spend the money somewhere else. Also, washroom was nasty.

The place was looking good until we came in contact with the server. She did not seem as she wanted to serve us, serving us food in slides which I believe is food service violation. Every time she served us she would put our food on the corner and was not putting in any effort. The food on the other hand was a whole other story. All the food had bitter taste at the end. We had to send back Manchurian veg fried rice because of HOW BAD IT WAS. Wouldn’t even let us replace it with something else. The food was bland. The chicken pakoras were raw. Overall horrible experience. Not satisfied and would not come here again. 1/10 would not recommend at all!!!!
