The quality of food at the Whitmore location in Vaughan has SIGNIFICANTLY gone downhill. Vegetables are flimsy, chicken is squishy and full of cartilage — I NEVER had these problems prior to the renovations. The size of the new lentil soup containers are laughable. Wraps have decreased in size while prices stayed the same. The employees have completely lost their minds. I’m told different rules about topping costs every time I’m there. Tablouli and banana peppers are considered “extra” depending on who’s working. Extra toppings in general do not exist at this location. You’re lucky if you get more than a quarter of a scoop of toppings or a singular line of sauce when you ask, even if you offer to pay extra. I was told the 9.99 combo only comes with chicken, when I have only EVER gotten it with falafel. Insane. This used to be my favourite shawarma place but I’m afraid I cannot continue to support. #NOTMYPITALAND

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

I'm compelled to write this review after a disgusting experience at this Pita Land location. The staff member handling my food put on gloves, touched my food, and then proceeded to touch the cash register, screen, and even made a phone call with the same gloves. To make matters worse, she touched her face and nose to remove snot before going back to handling my food. Unbelievable.

When I confronted her, she seemed completely unaware of the issue. I strongly believe that proper food handling protocols are essential, and this staff member's behavior was a clear breach of hygiene standards.

I'm warning others: don't eat here. The risk of food poisoning or getting sick is real. Unless they revamp their hygiene practices, I'd advise against supporting this establishment.

I hope the management takes necessary steps to address this issue and ensure customer safety. Until then, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

So not a typical review but walked in noon time on a Saturday in August, not a single person inside the place, the shawarma looked like a glob of fatty meat looked at it, and decided to walk right out, can’t do it…. 🤮 it looked so unappealing I didn’t even try it I left….

Really disappointing experience. Pre-ordered my food on Uber for pick up. For myself and my kids. Got there 10 minutes after I ordered and it wasn’t even started (that’s fine, I get it) so we decide we will just eat it in there. I set the kids up at the table, 5 minutes later my cell phone rings and it’s the restaurant stating they can’t make 4 of the items on the order. At this point over 15 minutes has passed since I placed the order and I’m just now being informed. So I said ok I will place a difference order - the employee asks me to cancel the order. However, since they accepted the order and 15 minutes has passed, Uber won’t let me cancel the order. it was over $120 order and so I didn’t want to pay twice and was waiting on her to cancel the order. Instead of cancelling the order and taking my new order, she moved on to the customer behind me - we were being incredibly polite and patient. Since she then decided to not properly handle the situation, It took me over another 10 minutes just to get her to cancel the order. At this point it’s been over 30 minutes and my kids basically still have nothing to eat and I haven’t even been able to place another order. Why not remove items you don’t have from the menu? I was too annoyed to even stay and we left with no food. I hadn’t been here in about a year and I figured I would go back and try again. The place is always empty lately, and this is probably why.

Wow! This location is so fast with making their tasty and fresh food. I had a really great conversation with one of the employees that I didn’t even realize that my food was ready. That tzatziki sauce is the best with any of their food.

The food was fresh and tasty. Me and my cousins really enjoyed our plate with salad, flavoured rice and chicken. The fries box was so good, crispy fries and chicken was mouth watering. The young girl who served us was so polite and friendly. I really come back and recommend Pitaland hw7.
