really wanted to like Spin Cafe, but this was honestly one of the most disappointing café experiences I’ve had.
First, I want to be fair: our waitress was sweet and attentive, and she’s the only reason this place gets even one star.
That said, the rest was brutal.
We spent $85 for what felt like $20 worth of quality — and even that would’ve been pushing it.
I ordered a B52 coffee, which is supposed to have 1.5 shots. What I got was basically hot water with a splash of alcohol. No richness, no coffee flavor at all. After looking around, it became obvious why: there’s no espresso machine. Just a kettle of brewed coffee you’d expect at a greasy spoon breakfast joint, poured into drinks that are supposed to be espresso-based.
My girlfriend ordered an espresso martini. Same issue. It was made with that same weak brewed coffee, served in a cheap plastic martini glass (the kind you’d expect for a slush), topped with canned whipped cream. Again: no flavor, just watery alcohol.
Dessert didn’t save it.
My pecan pie (or butter tart — hard to tell) was a tiny slice, dry, and easily the worst I’ve had. It came with a scoop of ice cream and cost $18.
Her bubble waffle was $22 and just as underwhelming.
Nothing here felt handcrafted, thoughtful, or worth the price. It all came across as overpriced, low-effort, and misleading, especially when the menu uses terms like “espresso” without having the equipment to actually make it.
I genuinely don’t understand how this place justifies its pricing.
If I could give zero stars, I would — but Google won’t let me.
Do yourself a favor and stay far away.

A good competitor to dspot and demetres. Desserts are tasty with good portion sizes and a fun atmosphere. Staff are friendly and attentive.

Great if you have an urge for a quick sweet treat!
Order a 6inch cookie with ice cream on top, after we had placed the order 3 other guests that came in after us placed their orders and received their desserts before we did. Waited 40mins for a cookie dessert. Which we did not receive and ended up leaving. I understand if the restaurant was busy for a longer wait time however when we had placed our order it was not busy so its not justifiable for this situation to occur

It was a lovely experience at this place. The service was great and they accommodated the dietary needs as well with gluten-free waffles

Came here in a Friday early evening. No wait.
Servers are very nice. Not a long wait for the food. Had a drink from their Halloween menu. Pumpkin spice latte, not overly sweet. Savour crepe very good. Along with their cakes.

Stopped by Spin Cafe and treated myself to an absolute dessert feast – and wow, what an experience! I tried the chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, the cinnamon apple cheesecake, and the tiramisu cheesecake – and every single bite was awesome.
The brownie was rich, warm, and perfectly gooey, balanced beautifully by the creamy vanilla scoop. The cinnamon apple cheesecake had that cozy, autumn-spiced flavor that just melts in your mouth. And the tiramisu cheesecake? Smooth, bold, and just the right kick of coffee – easily a favorite!
Cozy vibe, great service, and desserts that hit the spot. Highly recommend for anyone with a sweet tooth!

I’ve been coming here for the past few years but not sure if I will. Spins was my go to dessert spot In Vaughan but the waffle tasted a bit funny this time.
