The menu is ever changing according to what is available to be sourced locally. Eric is a creative chef and the food is beyond delicious with artistic presentation.
It is family owned and run, they treat their employees like they are part of the family.

We tried this restaurant for the first time and it succeeded all the hype we had heard from friends. We did the Chef’s tasting menu, and it was delicious. We couldn’t even pick a favourite cause they all tasted so good! It got me out of my comfort zone (I’m usually a burger and fries kinda girl)! We are definitely going back!

We recently celebrated our 50th anniversary with dinner at 639. This has been our go to restaurant for celebrations since they opened 20 years ago and has never disappointed. 639 is the benchmark that we compare other restaurants to. None have risen above! This restaurant is wonderful! The small size made the atmosphere a bit noisy, at times, but everything else was absolutely amazing! The menu is specially curated to include items from local artisans and is varied, not to mention delicious. We ordered appetizers, mains, desserts, and a variety of beverages and were very impressed and satisfied. I definitely recommend this restaurant and plan to return!

Had the prix fix May cheese menu. Food was cooked beautifully and the whole menu balanced very well. Looking forward to visiting again as the menu changes based on season.
I have now been to 639 four times and each experience has left me thinking, "See you again soon!"
The first time was to celebrate the 30th anniversary of our first date. We went with friends and ordered from the menu at that moment in time. 639 creates a menu which incorporates local Oxford County ingredients such as fresh produce and Gunn's Hill Cheese.
The second time was an "All In!" night for us. On our 28th wedding anniversary, we thoroughly enjoyed the Tasting Menu AND the Chef's Table where we sat at a window into the kitchen and were blown away by not just the delicious food but the culinary choreography and comedy of their kitchen staff.
The third time was a causal dinner with two friends after we had donated blood on a Thursday night. We decided on the spur of a moment to go and I called to get a table 15-minutes before we arrived.
Last night we were fortunate to get one of their last spots for Oxford Eats. This promotion, in partnership with Tourism Oxford, was a delicious way to celebrate the end to a very long January.
Like I said, see you again soon, 639!

Went tonight for the second time and just like the first it was amazing. Did the tasting menu both times and me and my wife were extremely pleased. The quality of the food and the service cannot be matched by any restaurant in this area. I suggest the chef's table with friends and dining room for dates and always the tasting menu. Can't wait to go back.

We went here for our 4th anniversary and WOW! The food was phenomenal and beautifully plated. Very fancy, quite pricey and upscale BUT worth it. It's a VERY small restaurant that really focuses on their amazing locally fresh menu and the menu always changes depending on what's in season. I love how they support all local businesses from meat, fruits and veggies and even breweries and coffee. I like how it's small and not busy. It's beautiful on the inside and very quiet and cozy. Our server was great and the chefs did a fantastic job! Highly recommend!
