Based on the reviews, Fritzie's West is a restaurant with very tasty and unpretentious food, friendly staff, and an overall zero frills experience. The atmosphere is nostalgia personified, with news articles about the history on the walls and plentiful seating. The menu selections are abundant, including hamburgers, cheeseburgers, footlong hotdogs, poutines, rings, frings, and even corned beef or fish on a bun. The prices are fair, and it is possible to feed a family of 5 for $60. The service is very pleasant and the staff are quite welcoming. Specific meals mentioned include an excellent chicken sandwich, a footlong hotdog with decent toppings, and a small poutine with good gravy. The fresh cut fries are cooked in beef tallow and are delicious. A burger was a juicy Norpac patty grilled to perfection. The footlong hotdog and onion rings were both delicious, with the hotdog being juicy and the onion rings crispy and perfectly seasoned.
