Me and my friend were driving looking for papusas. We decided to go to this place first time to try out. We arrived and closed, and a lady came to the door after and mentioned they were closed. How ever they were kind enough to open to us and take our orders. They let us wait inside (we also brought our kids inside). They were sooo friendly and kind 😇 . My first time going and it won't be my last. You can't find people in the restaurant business like this anymore....
Bakery El Quetzal is a hidden gem! My family has been going there for years to buy items from back home (Guatemala) but it wasn't until a year ago that I went in to eat the food. It was absolutely incredible, to the point my husband and I actually had them cater our wedding! The staff is so welcoming and lovely and we only wish we lived closer so we could eat there more often.
It is a neighborhood spot, so your influencer's experience won't be there.
Lovely home cooked meals and a great variety of sweet bread.
