Went with my friend and daughter. Enjoyed all of our food and beverages, also reasonably. The service was surprisingly outstanding. The atmosphere could use and update and TLC. Overall a great business in the neighborhood

Terrible service.
Very slow at taking care of customers.
They don’t care to attend people in an orderly fashion which allows people to bud in the line.
Bread is ok but on several occasions I’ve gone there and had to wait for the bread to finish baking.
Bread is average.
Pastries are okay.

Delicious !!
Hi, I come here very often. I have sampled across this place and them time out of 11 times that I’ve been here or multiple times that I’ve been here. I really liked the dessert. I usually get the same dishes like the same shrimp and empanadas and meat empanadas and they’re really good and this time I ordered Something different like a different dessert which were macaroons and there were so delicious. I really enjoyed them and I wanted to write a review because you know I wanted to get feedback on the macaroons. There were really good I’m not usually picky when it comes to macaroons, but I think there was just something about these ones that were a little different because they were in a Portuguese bakery and I didn’t know that Portuguese bakery had macaroons cause macaroons are technical French, but I guess I like how they have macaroons and white selection of dessert and yeah, I like the food overall everything I get is good and the atmosphere is pretty cosy welcoming and there is a really nice girl who helps us and she takes her order and she she’s very attentive
Parking: The parking lot is quite big and quite extensive and it’s I think free you can park as long as you want. I’ve never seen anyone pay there but yeah I think it is free because you know like I’ve seen so many people just park their car and that’s it.

I went in to try and order and ask questions about the food and other items and when I said goodmorning with a smile the lady looked at me and walked away when she said goodmorning and hi to the other two gentleman before me. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life and made me feel the same exact way I felt when I experienced racism in Whitby. the food looked good, it’s unfortunate they made me feel that way. Very hurt by this experience!

My daughter ordered 4 sandwiches and some fried fish patties on Sunday Nov 2/24, take out total. bill was $46.00. One sandwich was tosta mista. I was extremely disappointed and angry when my daughter came home with bill to show me that she had to pay an extra dollar to put the sandwich on the panni press to be toasted is that not how griiled ham and cheese is made. why are you charging for that or is it electricity ? this is ripping off the customer and not welcoming service .For example if someone orders eggs /bacon with toast, does that mean they pay extra to have their bread toasted ? I don't like to eat or get food from there anymore . I believed other customers would feel the same to be charged in this manner . Very bad service .😞

This was a great place to visit and order a cappuccino with a few Picos…
Not anymore - today I ordered ham & cheese buns which I usually get them toasted as they taste better this way. To my surprise I was charged $2 per bun to have them toasted. I paid a total of $4 to have my buns toasted for breakfast.
In 14 years of visiting Caldense I was never charged for toasting my bread.
When I asked one of the staff, I was told “it is what it is because electricity is not free”. Amazing - if you have a business and you are making profit - you should provide great service rather than what the staff is offering at this location.
I’m sad to say goodbye - it was a great place up til today.

Pastries are just ok. Not impressed. Worst coffee.
Multiple visits now always treated well. The Pastries are delicious and the Tosta Mista is fantastic. Easy to find parking and lots of space
