Great pre show dinner first time here and saw nice reviews and took a chance. Pleasantly surprised. Had the mussels in white wine and garlic, pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe and then the chicken Marsala. All very tasty and martinis were great too. Waiter was right on the money as well. Will return.

Highly recommend Daniela's! Perfect place for before theater dinner. Wish we would have found earlier in our trip as we would have planned another dinner there. Service and food were outstanding! Just what we were looking for in a New York, small restaurant setting. Pricing is amazing for the quality!

Nice little trattoria in the heart of the theater district. Very pleasant staff, attentive but not hovering. Good Caesar, tasty Puttanesca. Something for just about everyone on the menu. Decent value for the money, especially considering its location.

First timers. Great location for theater goers. Delicious food at very reasonable prices. Super friendly. Did not rush us. Attentive. Not noisy on first floor. No price fixe menu order whatever you want. No charge for splitting a dinner. Definitely would go back.

Perfect place for that pre-show lunch. Quick service, convenient to many theaters, but best of all great food-reasonably priced. Our second visit and certainly won't be our last!!!!!

Our lunch was delicious! I had the shrimp parm sandwich and my husband had a chicken pasta dish. Both were awesome! Super tasty! Our service was amazing too. We will definitely be back!!

Not great. Food was okay. The staff hovered over the table like flies. So overly attentive. Then over charged me at the end with the “gratuity fee” which is only compulsory in parties of 5 or more. There was only 3 of us. So left there feeling I've been ripped off. For the money spent it want a great dining experience

Service was great! Food was good. Sat upstairs, table for two was very small. Place was packed, it was so loud you could barely have a conversation. Ordered fried calamari and tomato and mozzarella apps. Calamari was good, tomato and mozzarella served dry, had no flavor. Ordered chicken parm which was good and ordered the Chris special which is sort of like a baked ziti in bolognese with chicken. Didn't care for the dish, again not much flavor.

Great for a pre or post show dinner. The service is a bit all over the place but they're super kind! Make sure to make a reservation if doing pre show because it'll be packed! Food is what you'd expect - nothing sensational but good! Prices are a bit high but it is the theater district so expect tourist pricing.

Honestly, a little disappointed with Daniela's, primarily in the food. I expected better from a small place in the city, but apparently they cater to the theatre crowd (which we were part of that day) exclusively and I don't imagine rely on repeat customers.

NEVER AGAIN!! We have dined here 3 times over the last few yrs. for pre-theatre Sun. "brunch" w/ my only complaint being that Bloody Mary last time was extremely weak. Last night, my daughter & I came for a pre-theatre dinner & has a $10 certificate from my Open Table points. We made the waiter aware of this upon arrival. When the bill came & he took the coupon & returned the bill had been adjusted by 10% NOT $10. When I showed him this he said "the guy downstairs" told him that the coupon did not have the restaurants name on it & showed $0 balance". When I went downstairs to straighten it out by showing the guy behind the bar the name Daniela's & the $10 gift card balance on my phone confirmation, he admitted that "we messed up" & would fix it. The $70.05 bill should have been reduced to $60.05 then the CC fee added then I would have calculated the gratuity & added it to the subtotal. NONE of that happened. As we were getting dangerously late for our show, I left & figured I would deal with it through American Express which currently shows a pending charge of $70.07 to my card which is still wrong! TOTAL incompetence on the part of the staff, I will NEVER come back to this restaurant!

The staff were friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the ambiance although a little louder than anticipated at first but then upstairs was quieter and better. I made reservations and we were sat right away. We started with the meatballs and calamari, both were very good, yet I wished the sauce with the meatballs was more flavorful. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana which was very good, although I prefer sauce that is a little more flavorful, so I added crushed red pepper. The strawberry cheesecake was delightful!

The sangria was bad and sickly sweet, food was very mediocre, they turned lights on full blast at 845pm to kick us out... lame for my bday party. Will NEVER RETURN! Sad sad ... I was embarrassed that I invited friends I haven't seen in years.

If you want an honest freshly prepared meal this is the place, fair prices, fresh good ingredients, good selection friendly attentive waiters, a neighborhood restaurant that deserves a try.

We had a terrific dinner before the theater. Garlic bread Cesar salad and chicken Marsala delicious - as well as the red sangria. The waiter was also very nice and about my husband and I sharing the meal. We will return!
