The cashier who worked this afternoon couldn’t have been more inhospitable. She never greeted me, chatted with someone else in their language the whole I was there, never said a thank you, or even made eye contact. If you don’t want to or know how to be courteous to customers then it is time to get another job.

They spent all this money making the place look really nice but the service and food are mediocre at best. Just ordered a bifana that was as bland as paper. The staff have no sense of urgency whatsoever. How did it take 1hr to make 2 sandwiches?! The old lady at the register, I saw her fold the receipt twice without any sense of urgency meanwhile I was standing there to pay. Won't be going back.

Literally the best dessert I have ever tasted I came on Thursday dropping a friend off in the area and I live in Vaughn , they told me about this place and they didn’t lie ! 10/10 the donuts are huge and so fluffy , the other dessert I got were so good I would definitely recommend this place to everyone ! And the staff was very friendly , she even offered me bread because she said they have too much , the breads were so good too ! I’m happy I got to check it out , keep doing what you guys are doing ! I’ll definitely will come back soon

Visited Douro for first time today. Amazing cafe bakery!! Great people, great products, and coffee! The corn bread was one of the best I’ve ever had. Carrot sponge cake was superb. The bolinhos de bacalhau & camarão were fantastic. Coming back soon for sure!
I got a sandwich from here and there was blood from uncooked meat on the bread. I got asked if I want toppings I said yes and they charged me 1 dollar per topping without telling me...
Passed by Duoro for a quick coffee and I couldn't resist trying out a couple croquettes! My go to are cod and shrimp and these did not disappoint.
The cod is browned a bit more but it works so well with the fish. The seasoning is simple but fits the cod just right.
The shrimp croquette is always a bit on the creamy side and this one is fits the bill. It's not too sweet like others I've tried, which is great! A couple shrimp in there too which makes for a nice two bite treat.
I liked that these were not too greasy either.
Also had the espresso. Nothing to say here other than good Portuguese style espresso - bitter, 'thick' in texture and bitter.
I'll definitely come back if I'm in the area. The folks here are lovely too.
