Pollo a la brasa super dry. They either gave me the leftover chicken from the fay before, or they just make terrible pollo a la brasa. Fries were good, salad was also good.

I came here for a birthday dinner for my boyfriend. The food was pretty good but nothing to write home about. Just your standard Peruvian fare that everyone at the table enjoyed. The only issue we had from what I can see as others have reviewed was the service. I don't know if they were busy or if this is a regular occurrence but we had to ask for water several times and they only provided a table of 7 with one carafe instead of the two we asked for. Was it nice to check out once, sure but only if you're in the area and crave some Peruvian food. Would I ever want to go back again, no I wouldn't.

I ordered ceviche and grilled chicken and what a disappointment, the flavor was not there, the ceviche had a lot of ginger and no lemon juice, and the chicken had an artificial smoky flavor.

It is not very tasty, it depends a lot on the day you go and the mood of those who serve you. Sometimes they are very rude to their clients. The price is the highest (relative to what you get) of almost all the Peruvian restaurants in Toronto, there are better options. I would recommend going to another restaurant.

I went on a Sunday at 1:30 pm. The place is spacious and looks tidy. What I didn't like is that the glasses/glasses that were on the table were not well polished and you could see fingerprints and it was unpleasant. The food was very delicious, I ordered a marine duo (ceviche with jelly) and a chicha morada, which was too sweet for me and tasted too much like cinnamon. The food took too long to arrive, more than 30 minutes.
This place was somewhere we stumbled upon because the place in front was closed, but there were no regrets!
Food is decently priced and portioned, service is fantastic and the vibes with music is top tier.
Payment is cash or etransfwr only, so please keep that in mind!
My only gripe was that we were charged 11 dollars for a two litre bottle of Inca Cola which is outrageous and then 18$ for a litter of chicha. Maybe just eat your food with water to make it worth your while.

We were celebrating a special day with one of our relatives and the attention and atmosphere were excellent. The 5 Marine Round is spectacular. I recommend it. Thank you all the staff of La Esquina Chalaca for your attention.
Worst peruvian food you can get. Never ever will I buy your food again. Plus I hear they don't pay the servers very well and they don't keep all their tips. Funny bc they tend to add the tip on the bill to $10. I give you what I see is a fair tip for the service I receive not what u decide to add. You make Hispanics look like thieves. Pls people don't waste your money
