Citadel Oasis

This is by far 1 of my favorite places in Albany. It's a shame it's closing its doors. Amazing atmosphere and overall a fun place, the owners are great, and friendly. Even with all the struggles at the beginning they are still amazing and have created and helped a community. Sad to see them go

I stopped in for the a/c, while waiting for a concert. Nice clean place where I found a couple different families gathered. One playing ping pong, another gathered around a board game. Smoothies and sandwiches coming out to them. I tried the smoothie and it was delicious. Only one person working and he told me about the historic building had poor wiring that caused delays in fixing food but he seemed cheerful and upbeat working through the frustrations. Citadel is great! I’ve been there a couple of times for Thursday trivia nights. The owner is great and so is the guy leading trivia night. It’s fun having a space that can host many different kinds of events like it does (trivia night, paint night, etc.) and even during those things, there are other guests sitting around playing board games, D&D, etc. I have friends who’re regulars and really appreciate this space.
