Panera is a bit expensive, for what it is. But we are never disappointed in the food. It's not gourmet but it's pretty good. I miss the pizzas but they have excellent sandwiches, salads, soups, and breads of course. Their scones and cookies and so forth are really good. The cinnamon rolls are bland and not worth the $5 price tag, in my opinion. I love all their breads though.
Back when they had tortellini and the egg souffles pre-made awaiting you in the front, this place was great. Took tortellini away & now the egg souffles are microwaved, leaving them tasting, not great. Their bread loaf varieties are perfect for making sandwiches at home. Vegetarian options and delicious morning bakery goods.
I like Panera but I think they should not have a traditional drive thru. It should be limited to mobile order pickup only like Chipotle. It defeats the purpose of ordering ahead if I have to wait in a long line of people who have to order and wait for their food. My food ended up sitting for 10 minutes longer than necessary just because I was stuck.
