As much as I loved the atmosphere and the wide variety of whiskeys and other liquors, I can't say so much for the food. I ordered the sausage and mash that was very disappointing. Not at all close to being authentic. The salty and overly spiced Zenners sausage is not what would be served in a Scottish Pub. The mashed potatoes with the dismal brown, watery gravy served no flavor. The scant serving of corn just kind of looked embarrassing on the plate.
My friend got the shepherd's pie, but technically it would be a cottage pie as it was not lamb, but beef. It was mediocre. It lacked some of the quintessential flavors of a traditional cottage pie.
We shared the pretzel and the pickled egg. The pickled egg was good and the pretzel was a pretzel. Served with an unidentifiable sweet dipping sauce. Nothing extraordinary.
Overall I would recommend for atmosphere and drinks only. Food fills a hole, but not something I would want to pay for again.

The Squeaky Cork is a great Scottish pub that offers amazing cocktails, a huge selection of great whiskey and fantastic food. The owner, Josh provides great service with a friendly smile. A family run business we’re lucky to have in downtown Albany. We’ll definitely be back!

Our first visit tonight was superb! The whiskey and scotch list is incredible. We decided to have a little morsel of food and the pretzel is delicious! The tomato basil soup was also wonderful. Perfect for a rainy Oregon evening. Thank you Josh and family. We’ll be back!

Dietary restrictions: I'm autistic with catastrophic levels of food aversions. Even I was able to share from the same plates as everyone else.
Parking: A small parking lot is across the street with plenty of street parking.
Kid-friendliness: It's too small for noisy children. Even if they're in their thirties.

Amazing food and atmosphere, I could spend every night here. I only wish we had more places like this around. It was exactly what I imagined a pub in Scotland or Ireland being like and only made my desire to visit those locations greater. 100% will be back for another visit or 12. Next timeI will be bringing some military patches for them to display since I didn't see the 82nd or the 10th mt division represented. I will have to personally change that fact since they are the two greatest fighting forces the army has.

This place was fantastic! If we lived in town, we'd be regulars for sure. The service was great and the drinks were delicious. We really enjoyed speaking with the owner and the gentleman who lives upstairs. Next time we are in town, we will be having dinner there guaranteed.
