The best fried chicken I have ever had. And a a bargain too! it serves about two people. the sounds were excellent but overpriced 24 to 26 bucks.... as expensive as the chicken. Happy hours till 6:00 p.m. And you can get the fried Chicken for 15 bucks. that's about the same size as the dinnertime portion.

As I sat at the bar at Bar Juliet for dinner, one could almost image for a moment that all was right in the world. The restaurant exudes warmth, is filled with lively chatter, has good music and the staff is bustling about. It’s just the perfect spot that if I lived nearby, I’d probably become a regular. I really enjoyed their take on the panzanella and appreciated the festive pink zero g&t.

We 4 ordered an entree each. The first arrived, then 5 mins later 2 cool Pastas arrived, then 15 mins later after many reminders, the last dish arrived. Food was delicious but the kitchen timing was useless.
Bar Juillet is such an Ashland gem! I love the laid back family style eating, unique wine selection, and fun atmosphere. The seasonal, local menu is always playful, fresh, and delicious. From Manila clams to summer scallops to house-made pasta, the menu keeps me excited. The cocktails never miss and the staff feels like family. Perfect place to have a luxurious meal with friends or family by the creek.

It took 20 minutes to receive our drinks, and it wasn’t busy. Then, as they choose to “bring the food out whenever it’s ready”, I watched my date eat her salad, then she watched me eat mine, then I watched her eat her eat her entree….. it was ridiculous! She was done with her meal before I got my entree. Booooo!

I did have the best gin and tonic of my life here. But everything was super salty and inexplicably had fish sauce on it. Service was excellent. Burger buns were stale. Fried chicken was weird, tasted like it marinated in soy milk?? Pasta was good. Fries aggressively average. Drinks were amazing. I wouldn’t go outside happy hour.
