We’ve liked Billy’s for their fried chicken for years now (I believe they opened up around Covid?), but the last two out of three times the chicken has been mediocre at best. One of the times the portions were small and the chicken dry and tonight the buttermilk batter was just a few minutes from being burnt. In other words dark brown and extra, extra crunchy, If we were seated in the restaurant we would have sent it back, but since it was carry out (and we were hungry) we just gritted our teeth and gnawed through it. On the plus side the fries were good. But still…not worth $22 a meal plus tip.
