We LOVED Buddy’s and can’t wait to go back! We moved to Ashland from Kentucky and missed the taste of BBQ so much. We weren’t sure what to expect here; the menu was a little slim since they had sold out of options and there was one sauce. Let me tell you, we are SO glad we took what was left, and shocked that the two of us ate dinner for $20. There is nowhere else selling BBQ this good or dinner for this price in Ashland. Not only that, they are working toward opening their restaurant and bar once they are able—what a great opportunity to support a small business. The guy who took our order and served us was super kind and personal in our interactions. Go to Buddy’s!

The best brisket!, beans!, and salad slaw!! The brisket was so tender and flavorful, the beans had a unique flavor, an The salad slaw was a cornucopia of veggies! YUM!

I have never left a bad review before, but this felt warranted. Ate here and got the family pack based on the reviews. Highly disappointed. Got to pick three meats which included 2 ribs to feed an entire family? Was given more pickles than anything else. Paid almost $70 for all that is seen here. Definitely not enough to feed an entire family. Plus the bbq was over smoked, fatty and mediocre at best. Don’t waste your money, we won’t be going back.

Finally have found real-deal brisket here in the Rogue Valley! Pulled pork was also good and I really enjoyed the sauce and how they served the plate with good pickles and thin slices of raw onion and a thick piece of good soft bread. Wooweee I really enjoyed it all and will be a frequent regular customer for sure!

Good brisket and pulled pork. They have a side case of bottled beer, including Shiner Bock, which is appreciated. Wasn't impressed with the sides (cole slaw, beans), but you can't have it all.

I was really looking forward to some good BBQ after seeing such high reviews, maybe I just got a bad batch?? But needless to say the brisket was Not good, tasted like I was eating a burnt log straight off of a fire, couldn't taste any flavor from the meat. It was like eating smoke. Everything else was fine, potatoe salad was good, definitely tell it was made from scratch and so was the coleslaw. Prices seemed fair for the portion size.

Pretty good value for the money. $18 will get you 3/4 lbs of meat and 2 sides. I really want to give it 5 stars, so I will, but I've gotta ding it a little bit because the brisket was a bit dry for me, and the BBQ sauce was pretty vinegary and very runny. Overall though, great value and pretty quick in and out stop. Plus the 2 guys working there were really nice and personable. If I'm ever in the area again I think I'll go back.

The ribs here are amazing! We ordered a family dinner and tried all 3 meats and the sides, plus got both desserts. Everything was delicious but the ribs were a standout for me. The meat just fell off the bone and wasn’t too fatty. They were so good that I ate the leftovers at 8:45am the next morning!
