Food was good. Beer was ok. Was a busy Friday I’ll give it, but our server was gone long enough for me to forget what she looked like. My biggest gripe was I asked for nachos and she really wanted us to order our dinner with it. I said I wanted our nachos first and food after we were done with nachos. She said she had a button for that. I should have known better but she looked seasoned and maybe would be right. Nope. Got my food almost immediately after my nachos. In fact with the hot sauce it asked for with the nachos. No apologies. Too many good breweries 10 minutes up in Medford to waste time here. I would recommend.

Couldn’t move bar stools

Took forever for service

Happy hour 2-6 but wouldn’t honor while trying to find a place to sit. 6:01 finally did sorry 🙄

Highly recommended as an awesome place to grab an award-winning amber Beer, great nachos and an excellent burger. The beer was so good. We had to buy a six pack to go!

The beers were so good! I had a hatch chili lager that was incredible! I wanted to buy some to take home! I had the wild Oregon mushroom fettuccine with salmon for dinner and it was very creamy and had great flavor! The salmon was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was also really nice, they had hundreds of cool bottles on the walls!

We love this place! It was our first brewery in Oregon. We try to make it a stop every time we are near Ashland. They have great beer, great food and a great staff, in nearly 10 visits we have never been disappointed by any aspect of our visits. They even have great merchandise, I have enjoyed my hoodie more than once! My family and I enjoy everything about the caldera experience!

The food is great. The beer selection and quality are very good. The service is excellent.

There is one problem. I often go to Caldera with a group of mostly unrelated friends. Most other restaurants will quite willingly give us separate checks. This is far more convenient than trying to split a single check that might be several hundred dollars. Making sure there is enough for tax and the tip is sometimes difficult. Since Caldera no longer will provide separate checks we will likely go to a different establishment in the future when we have a group of people. This will actually be pretty easy since every other restaurant that I have been to in the Rogue Valley is very willing to accommodate our need for separate checks.

Caldera seems to have forgotten that they are in the hospitality business. They seem to be totally unmoved by our need for separate checks.
There are a bunch of new eateries in nearby Talent that seem to appreciate our business.

Wonderful meals and great staff. We stop there whenever we're nearby. Don't miss it!

Food was pretty good, but the beer was disappointing. We tried several and weren't impressed

Happen to see a 5 star review on google maps when I was in Ashland for the day so decided to drop by. Love this place, the decor and vibe, excellent service! Had drinks and played cards. Will be back for sure to try out food items!

While taking a short trip to Ashland OR (see wild horses) we saw the Caldera Brewery from the I5 Freeway. We always like to try new brewpubs - so gave it a go.
The place is pretty big!!! The brew pub occupies the front ~ 1/4 of the building and is very open and spacious.
We were seated pretty quickly and greeted by our server (Kara). She gave us a few minutes to look over the extensive beer menu and offered some samples!
Nice.
My wife tried a Pilsner and Amber, I had to try the Hatch Chili beer.
The Pilsner was her choice - and I could’t resist a full pint of the Hatch Chile beer. It was cold, refreshing with a nice warm “heat” and smooth pepper taste. I used to homebrew (even won a few awards) and I can say that pepper beers are tough. This one hit the spot well!
On to dinner. We had a late lunch but seeing some of the other dinners being served at other tables - couldn’t resist. ;-)
My wife ordered the Fish and Chips, I went with the house burger (1/2 lb, grilled roll, tomato’s, pickles and lettuce).
We both decided on the upgrade to a side salad.
What a nice surprise that the side salads are not an after thought! They were perfect size, with lots of veggies and some tasty croutons.
Kudos for the salad!
My burger was cooked perfect and tasted great with the thick tomato and crunchy pickle slices.
My only minor complaint was that it needed a bit more mayo - Kara grabbed me small sauce - and combined with some ketchup made the burger a hit.
My wife’s Fish was crunchy, moist and tasted great.
We both devoured our meals!!!
We were offered a free Root Beer Float for dessert - but sadly passed.
Between the fine beers and great dinners - we were stuffed!

Great place, great atmosphere!

Fish tacos are great.

Holy cow, fantastic service. Caldera was absolutely slammed with customers when we visited, but the staff was zipping around non-stop getting everyone’s orders. Outdoor seating is both dog and toddler friendly. Both the Rogue Valley Salad and the Ahi Salad were absolutely fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the stout, porter, imperial stout, and imperial porter. The new hazy IPA makes for a great session IPA; we hope to see it in Portland, OR.

Honestly, just kind of annoying. Burger was good. Excellent bacon.
