If I could I would give a 6 ⭐
This place surprised me a lot, my husband and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we were delighted with the food and service.
If you go there PLEASEEEE try the onion soup 🤌🏻
This outfit led me to the heavens, the Tartare was also delicious, highly recommended!
But, ok, I'm here to talk about the steak, it was another level.
My husband ordered his raw 🥩 and it come exactly how he loves, normally the restaurant always messes up and he never get it right. It was just right, good job to the team, I can't wait to come back.

Ive been here a few times and every time it hits the same. The Denver steak has become my family's go to meal for celebrating big achievements.

The food was pretty good. The duck was dry, and the black char on my ribeye was too much. Took over the taste of the steak. Overall, it was a bit overpriced for what it was, but the Creme Brule was delicious. The mixed drinks were good and not too expensive, and they had a good variety of Wines, Conac, and Absinthe.

I ordered an 8oz wagyu new York strip and what I recieved was very tough, burned on the outside and not anywhere near the quality I expected for a $60 steak. Fingerling potatoes were undercooked and mashed sweet potatoes were cold. Highly disappointed.

good service. Drinks were good, appetizers were ok. The poutine was lacking gravy with too many fries. The rest was fine, not great. The folks that had steak enjoyed it. My hamburger, ordered medium, was VERY WELL DONE. To the point that I didn’t eat it.

I will not go back to this restaurant because of the sordid atmosphere, even the tablecloths were black. And the chairs were hard and uncomfortable. A vase of flowers on the tables would have cheered up the room a little. I ordered onion soup and risotto. The risotto dish was not what I would call a risotto. It mainly was made of steamed rise and a few not cooked mushroom pieces. It was bland and lacked ingredients that would make it tasty. The onion soup was not anything to write home about.

Nice ambience and a personable server. The problem is they were out of many of the food items that we were interested in ordering. They didn't seem to plan food flow very well. Pretty pricey.
Wonderful service, excellent food and wine. We enjoyed Escargot, Pork cassoulet, duck a l'Orange, and shared a large and yummy profiterole for dessert. Great selection of both French and Oregon wines (we had a bottle of an Oregon Pinot Gris) ??
Being our first visit to Chateaubriand 36 as new residents of Ashland, we made a reservation to be seated at the bar in hopes of learning about the area while we dined. And that we did! Our bartender and server, Melody, was a wonderful source of information in addition to being a terrific mixologist. The French onion soup was classically prepared and rich. The Waygu Denver steak entree was probably the best steak I ever ate. Sadly there was no room for dessert -- giving us the perfect excuse to return soon.

This was a totally awesome dinner. The value was AMAZING considering the quality of the food. Would 100% come here again any time for an awesome, quiet, dinner. The service was top notch as well.
The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The grilled caesar salad was delicious. We ordered the chateaubriand for 4 people. The meat was prepared perfectly at medium rare. The side dishes were very tasty. Cocktails were different and enjoyable. The lavender creme brulee was the perfect finish to an amazing meal.
This was my first visit, and we had great service until a table of four was seated directly next to us, and then our waiter seemingly forgot that we existed, and pawned us off on the other waiters. We never even got offered a desert menu, and had to hail down the check, just to be able to leave and not sit there forgotten about. I expected such better service, especially since there were only five tables that had customers. It was a pretty significant disappointment, with our dinner costing well over $150.00. We will not be returning, and prefer to dine at establishments where the service is as good as the food.
Incredible food and Incredible service. If you are in Ashland, you must dine here. My Duck à l'Orange was pure perfection!

We visit this restaurant once a year from California... This time our overall dining experience was pretty disappointing... Although our server was very nice, she was overwhelmed with too many tables. As a result, the service was a little slow as well as the food coming out. I had two refills of Diet Coke and each one cost an additional $5.00!!! I didn't know that was the case....Usually soda refills are free. My wife ordered the risotto which was very dry... I ordered the hamburger and it was burnt. On a positive note, the people working at the restaurant were very friendly... hopefully this was just an anomaly tonight
