We just happened to be in the area, and Indian food sounded good. We both got the buffet, and it was FANTASTIC. There were so many delicious options, and we tried them all. Every single thing we tried had a totally different flavor. We are foodies, and this was such a treat. We live an hour away, but it's worth the drive. We will definitely be back. The buffet was about $21/ person.

Food was very average. Not terrible but not great. Butter chicken was not much warmer than room temperature.

When you walk in your greeted with smells of exotic spices. The art decor is captivating too. The food is yummy. The buffet is more plentiful then my tummy could handle. At a quite reasonable price too. Well worth the drive from medford.

My friend and I went for dinner recently and had a wonderful experience. Aishwarya was super kind and helpful, along with all the other staff. The ambiance was great, and the food definitely lived up to my expectations. We enjoyed a buffet style and was very pleased with the quality of food and flavors. This is a must-try if you are looking for great authentic Indian food!

Today I went here, the food is good but the person who cuts the bill is the one who lives near the register. He is a very useless man. He doesn't know how to talk to a customer. I wouldn't recommend you guys to come here because you get disrespected here. He doesn't know how to talk to a customer. The old guy at the register is very rude. Hee. I went with my family, I don't know. Such service is provided here that any family is insulted. I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here again.

My husband and I went here on a date night, and we were delighted with the quality of the food. Sometimes Indian food leaves my belly feeling a bit icky, but not at House of India! We were impressed with the number of vegetarian dishes. The Bindi Masala was incredibly flavorful, and the spices felt astonishingly fresh and perfectly balanced. We also loved the Masala Dosa which was filling and very delicious, accompanied by some very delicious sauces. We went early on a weekday night (I love that they're open on Mondays!) and the service was excellent. Very attentive and prompt service. I have heard good things about the lunch buffet, and plan to check that out at some point as well. Ashland is lucky to have another Indian restaurant, and one that specializes in S. Indian food... Dosas!Dietary restrictions: We found plenty of good gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options.Parking: Easy and spacious.Kid-friendliness: We didnt bring our kiddo, but will next time. It felt like an easygoing atmosphere and our toddler will be excited to see all the beautiful artwork on the walls.

Excellent Indian food. We will stop here again. We often travel through Ashland and were happy to find this place. The Navaratan Kurma, Ginger Chicken, and the Keema Naan were excellent.

Wow, dosa was so good. Don’t sleep on the bindi masala. Super fresh tasting ingredients that didn’t leave me feeling “yucky” after like some restaurants in town.

The best Indian food in Ashland!!These people put a lot of care into their food. The flavors are well developed and the spices are well cooked. Every time I’ve been here I’ve ordered something different and it’s always been amazing. So glad to have this gem in this town

Super delicious buffet with authentic, spicy flavors.Edit: I’ve now eaten here about six or seven times, and I can say without a doubt that this is the best Indian I’ve ever had! The dinner is even better than the buffet, and I am impressed every time I go.

The food is great. The Naan always seems to take a while for some reason, but that doesn't keep me from coming back often.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs.

Not sure where these 5 star reviews are coming from.. the $22 dinner buffet consisted of Chicken Salty Masala, Salt Aloo, Mixed Salt Pakoras, and Chana Masalta. And for $4 extra they will give you a child's sippy cup of Lassi. What a joke
