Have been to MAS a couple times over the past few years, always had incredible service, amazing food and attention to detail. However, called to book and tell them that I have Celiac’s Disease and would need a couple of modifications, I was met with a we don’t cater to that, sorry good luck. They have been able to accommodate previously. Really disappointed, for the amount of money they ask of people for this experience, I would have hoped that Chef Duroc could accommodate a legitimate allergy. I’m not sure what changed, but would have thought a restaurant that has multiple James Beard nominations could have swung it. Disappointed.

Simply sublime… Chef Josh and his capable team delivered a symphony of succulent Japanese-inspired dishes elevated and enhanced — indeed, was it possible ?—by Sommelier Joseph’s elegant and thoughtful wine and saké selections. From the cocktails at NAMA, to the perfectly petite cutlery and artisanal serve ware, and finally (sadly, does it have to end?) to the last taste of dessert in the private Library Room, the welcoming personal touch of the master was apparent in presentation, description, and each well-planned bite, all curated to delight in crescendo’d layers of complexity that showcased the talent and passion of this James Beard Foundation SemiFinalist doing what he loves: carefully crafting dishes to create an absolutely unforgettable meal that lingers on the tongue and in the heart.

A very personal, fantastic experience. You can tell the chef takes great pride and has tremendous passion in his craft, and the Somm is very personable, and ardent with presentation. I think my wife teared up with each course; something I’ve only been able to do three or four times when cooking for her over 20 years. 100% will be back. Highly recommend. An experience to be enjoyed by both seasoned professionals and foodies alike.

A most wonderful and unique experience enjoying the tasting menu presented by Chef Josh Dorcak. It was so fantastic. The flavors of the foods, all of which I'd never tasted before. Such a special treat and the Chef is so sweet; adorable -- everything was just perfect!! Highly recommend!!!

PLEASE VISIT AND SUPPORT THIS RESTAURANT. :) No doubt, the finest dining experience we've ever experienced. After researching where to propose to my girlfriend, MAS was my obvious pick due to the intimate atmosphere and acclaim. The culinary experience paired with wines was worth every penny. The Chef and staff were lovely, friendly, and fun. We will definitely be coming back for our anniversary for years to come. Thank you Chef and team.

Hands down best chef driven food in southern, easily. The town is extremely dated when it comes to getting a fancy meal.. if you didn't know better you'd be better off going to Eugene or any of the major cities. However Mas brings even better food than most restaurants in existence have to offer. Hands down a must.

The food was exquisite, the non-alcoholic drink pairings were fantastic, and watching everything being made at the chef's counter was so much fun. So many layers of flavors that meshed beautifully, and the presentation was superb. I can't wait to come back with the rest of my foodie relatives.

The food was very good with fresh ingredients interestingly combined. We sat at the counter with chef Josh describing each serving and drink pairing. It was definitely a cool experience but very expensive. My wife and I decided to add non-alcoholic pairings with the meal and it came to $187 dollars. Be prepared to spend some money for this experience.

We had such a great time. My mom had never been to a dinner like this before, and honestly, she won't stop talking about :)I loved the ice plant in the lil tomato salad, the oyster with the house take on tartar sauce, those sake pairings, learning about (and savoring) translucent halibut.. too much good stuff. All of it, just great. Thanks, everybody!

The best food I've ever had. Not sure what else to say. It was amazing! Josh explained every dish very well and the drink pairings were perfect. Next time I plan a trip to Ashland, Mas will be the first place I make a reservation.

OK, it's been almost a week since we ate at Mas and I'm still thinking about the food. Each tasting course is a parade of flavors and palate sensations that you won't easily forget. In fact the word food seems like an understatement! Josh is able to balance flavors in such a way that you taste the unfamiliar while also experiencing food memories at the same time. This is all achieved in a comfortable, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Josh, Evan and Ellie work in such Harmony that it truly enhances the dining experience. Thank you. Can't wait to return.

Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? YES! This chef is a genius and what he is doing reflects the future of fine dining. Go for a special occasion - you'll be reliving the deliciousness for weeks to come.
