This is an incredible place easily punching at a level often unseen in the Rogue Valley. If you are interested in an incredible experience with next level food this is your destination.

Went here for Happy Hour out of tourist season— we live in Ashland. Wow, the smell of fish at the front door was nearly overpowering. OK we ate oysters and didn’t die; so I will give them one star. Never encountered such a strong fish smell in any seafood place I’ve been to before.

Now the best restaurant in Ashland. in years past, Sammys, Amuse and Peerless have held that spot, but today, it is Nama. first class seafood sushi sake handrolls. lots of other sushi options in ashland. this is hands down the best---way way better. osteria Briccola is excellent but for fish and seafood and oysters this place is heads above.

Absolutely loved this place.
The staff was all so nice. They all checked in and chatted with us.
And the food. I got 3 hand rolls, the scallop dish and the tostada. So so so flavorful and yummy.

This place is great. If you love sushi, I would highly recommend it. If you dont, get the lamb tenderloin. It's deadly good (pictured). We also had the crab roll appetizer and a flight of sake (all pictured).

Once you visit, they remember you. The best seats are around the counter. The food is experiential and amazing. Start with the dashi and keep going. Oysters so fresh, crudo is magic. And the saki flights phenomenal.

Great experience at Nama last night. First time guest and i felt like family. Best course was the cup of dashi. I really enjoyed the trout hand roll, the egg and potato chips, and halibut tiradito. Sipped on N/A sake was was glad. Best restaurant in Southern Oregon.

The food and service were fabulous. I was particularly impressed by the complex and delicious vegan items that were prepared on the spot, without advance notice, for my partner. She was gracious enough to accompany me with a belief that there would be very little for her to eat at Nama. She left feeling that she had had one of the most tasty meals she has ever had in Ashland, reminding her of the meal we had at 11 Madison Park in NYC, the three star Michelin rated vegan restaurant. We will definitely be back!

We had such a wonderful experience at Nama! I would highly recommend you check it out if you’re in Ashland. You walk in and feel like you’re transported to a big city. All of the food was incredible! A couple of my favorites were the Ramen and the Nama dog. But everything was fantastic. I’m glad I’m not a local or I would spend all my money there lol

Really cool space. It was fun to sit at the counter and watch everything being made. The hand roll was our favorite but everything was amazing.
