I love coming to Nous. I was able to be there when they first opened and try many of the menu items. I need to eat gluten free and there are so many options there. There was even a breaded chicken that was Gf and so delicious. This time coming to visit, it’s the first place we went for dinner and to enjoy a game Night! (Sundays at 4:30) they have a ton of fun games and you can enjoy a night of food too. We started with pretzels, the cheese dip has a nice zing of sharp cheese and air throughout. Then the kids had Mac and cheese that the chef came out and told us he made extra cheesy for them! I enjoyed the salmon with roe and celeriac purée. I wasn’t sure about celeriac but I loved it! I also ordered the chicken thigh which was delicious and came with beans and fennel! I had lots of leftovers to eat at my air b and b. We shared a dessert which was a spicy cake with coconut cream (no eggs or gluten or dairy!) I would eat one everyday! Crispy crust and soft middle. The warming spices were a welcome flavor on the cold Night of Fall. I love how they serve regular or sparkling water. The staff all made a point to check on us throughout the night and refill all of our waters. The kids enjoyed another pretzel too! It’s so peaceful inside with its green and pink color pallet. Julie is an artist and hosts regular art shows. We enjoyed looking at them before leaving! If you’re looking for a beautiful environment to enjoy an amazing meal, I highly recommend Nous.

We stopped in as we were walking past looking for a pre-dinner glass of wine.
The Aslatian fare was intriguing so we came in to try some wine and light apps. Such a wonderful, sublime experience. The wines by glass are superb, we tried 4 different varieties.
We had the bretzal and soup de jour (mushroom). Really top shelf for both. They offered an amuse bouche that was delightful and finished with a small chocolate blueberry bite.
All were so good, we almost canceled our dinner reservations. Easily top tier in Ashland.

German & Alsatian food is nauseatingly unauthentic - warm schnitzel with cold mushroom gravy. Others orders came with the same problem bordering on serve safe. yuk. German beer is the real thing tho - maybe start there to prepare for the culinary assault.

i came through with a group from my college. the menu was fixed but i have very specific dietary needs that were difficult to accommodate. the staff did an incredible job helping me. not only did they separate my food in different plates, but when i asked for no salad as an appetizer, the chef asked if there was anything else he could get me as a replacement. he ended up giving me a pretzel and i have never had a better experience with staff at a restaurant before. he made me feel seen and understood in a situation with very little ability for change.

As local Innkeepers here on Ashland Oregon we get to advise our incoming guests on local dining options. Nous is a recent addition to the Ashland dining scene and to date has not disappointed our guests that we have sent their way. In fact some recent guests returned on two occasions to dine with them. Finally we had a quiet moment to visit and dine with Molly,Julie and Charlie the owners of this Alsatian restaurant (German/French inspired food) this past week. We had a delightful bottle of local Southern Oregon Pinot Noir made by Molly’s very own husband. This we paired with their renowned Chicken Schnitzel dish and my Bratwurst choice served with homemade Sauerkraut. Both dishes were delicious. I would have loved to have tried their beautiful Soufflé dessert but had to draw a line somewhere. I think I shall definitely be returning for that dish at some point .. thank you to Nous and staff for a lovely meal.

Dined here twice on a recent trip through Ashland. The experience was very refreshing - excellent and distinctive food, very attentive and engaged staff. Not too complicated a menu. Reasonably priced, and sensible portions - neither too large and heavy, nor too small.
We had a delicious brunch. They've made the place much more inviting and nice. Go check them out so they have a chance of sticking around.

Great addition to the excellent Ashland dining scene! We loved everything about our visit - the space is lovely and felt welcoming as soon as we walked in, and the service was stellar. The wine and cocktail list is unique and creative, and the food was amazing - the schnitzel was excellent, but the special melon/corn/goat cheese salad was truly memorable. Two hearty thumbs up!

Took my husband to OSF as a birthday present; this was the best and most memorable meal we had during out three days in Ashland. Food was spectacular, from beginning to end. I had the pea spatzle and my husband the schnitzel; we shared a luscious Grand Marnier souffle for desert. Everything house made from the shrub to the mustard & seasonal schnapps. Owners are super friendly and obviously care deeply about the food. And our server was amazing! Highly recommend!
