Oh, so yummy! Went here when I was in college... remembered the food was good back then too!! Nice bar, full bar. Nice concise menu.

Very overpriced for what you get. Chicken Alfredo was bland, soggy, and definitely not worth $26. If this was a diner with diner prices it’d be ok. Just not worth it when there’s such a creative and varied food scene in Ashland.
Server was gracious and refunded my order since I didn’t want to eat it, so I really appreciate that service.

Classic steak and seafood place. Looks like it is straight out of the 1950s. Food good, service good, prices fair.

Never again. We just had dinner there for our anniversary, the fried zucchini appetizer was good, after that it went quickly downhill and never recovered. We asked for soup and bread (it comes with the meal) , the server forgot about that completely. She brought our entrees, when we asked again about soup and bread she then brought them. The potatoes were cold, forget about melting the butter they came with, my wife's "medium" new york strip was blood red throughout, my snapper was good enough. The soup was cold and inedible, all in all, NOT a $100 meal. We won't be back. It was a Sizzler quality meal, at least at Sizzler or Denny's , you know what you'll get. Bad service, cold food, high prices. No thanks. Never again.
AND, beware the tax they'll charge you for using a credit card. IF you go here, bring hundred dollar bills. Better idea, go to Denny's or Sizzler. Save $50.

One star due to unannounced "Supplemental Fee" on the check at the end of the meal of approximately 3-4% of the check in total. I asked for it to be explained, and the server said this was on the ticket for a cc fee, which then the server said "everywhere in Ashland is doing this now" which I know is not true because I eat out in Ashland at different places regularly. I went through reviews now because of this and saw the responses that there is a sign, which I and none of the people I came with saw, which means it is not placed in a way to draw attention to it. It also should be provided on the Menu, which it is not.
We ordered the Prime rib on special and for a Steak and Seafood restaurant, I found it chewy and fatty in a bad way.

Found this funky (old skool) joint on line and had to go check it out.... and we were glad we did.
As we entered the resturant, we met Sue at the hostess stand. What a geniune and warm greeting we received from her. We told her it was our 1st time in and we explained we were waiting for others. She suggested we wait next door (the bar).
We waited for friends and family in the lounge where we met Kimmi behind the bar.... she was a Hoot and (note) later in the evening we found out she was the General Mgr and the mother of our server.
Our friends joined us, and Kimmi came out to take their drink order and had some small talk/fun with us. The bar is decorated with lots of Pictures and Back-n-the -Day memorabila.
We adjourned to the dining room where we met Emma our server (what a bright and shiny star). She was busy when we arrived in the dining room but was very polite and immediately asked us if we needed any refills. As we checked out the menu, Emma checked back with us for appitizers, and we ordered a couple of starters for the table. Unfortunately, one of our favorites was not available (only reason for the 4 Star rating in the Food category).
However, our 2nd choice (brussel sprouts) came out in this huge portion (maybe compensating for the starter that was sold out) - one way or the other, they were delish!
Our other starter was Zucchini Fingers (another good choice) followed by our entrees of 2 orders of ShrimpTemura and Chicken Alfredo. We shared a whole bunch of food that evening.
But we really shared (and thoroughly enjoyed) was the "Engaged Hospitality" from a very small staff on a pretty steady evening.
Thank you, Emma, Kimmi, Sue (and the boys in the kitchen (Adam, Kayne & Alec) ---
Highly recommended, and we will be back the next time we are in Ashland

We were a Party of 5 out to enjoy my daughter's birthday. Food was pretty decent but lobster tasted off so I sent it back and got the crab legs with steak. 2 other people at the table got the same thing. Within an hour or two our stomachs were churning and having sharp pains. Only us 3 mind you that had seafood. Next thing you know I'm running to the bathroom vomiting and having diarrhea at the same time. Imagine that dilemma ?. Next I'm getting calls from the others stating that they are both doing the exact same thing. I called the restaurant and asked to speak with a manager. They literally gave me the run around for 2 months straight as well as the others that called who gotten sick and they just said well what do you expect us to do about it. ?? We paid $598 for our dinner and not even an apology or anything. I've never felt with such rudeness or poor customer service in my life. I would write more about the way they treated us but this would be exceptionally longer. I have eaten there with my family prior and only did steak dinners and never gotten sick but I would advise you to steer clear of their seafood or be in terrible pain from food poisoning for several days. ?
