Great atmosphere and delicious food. A+ family friendly with their outside seating and lovely outdoor fire pits.

We are driving through Oregon and stayed the night in Ashland. Since we had our little fur baby we needed a spot with a patio, and thankfully the weather was nice enough that most have a patio open. We found Skout just off the main drag across from a small park, and right beside the river. Nothing beats sipping and beer and smashing a sandwich while listening to the river rushing by. Seriously amazing ambiance. The draft list is fairly large and the food list, while not huge, had some excellent options. I got the grilled cheese, but this was not your run of the mill grilled cheese. This was the Ultra Meltathon. It has candied bacon, raclette, and lingonberry sauce on it. My word. This was heavenly. The side of truffle fries were not overly truffled, and really hit the spot. When we cruise through Ashland again we'll be back!

Smash burger, trout dip, chips, fries, variety of drinks! Visited Ashland for the weekend and so glad we went here to eat. Great seating areas and quick service. Thank you! Yummmm

Nice meeting spot with indoor and outdoor seating across from Lithia Park. Low key yet lively. Superior selection of micro brews.

Cozy little biergarten-esque joint. Outdoor seating, firepits, warbling stream, right across from Lithia Park.

When Gayle and I first came to Ashland in 2006, I think this space was a stationary store. The last time we came here in 2019, I think it was some sort of Asian restaurant. I would call the present incarnation to be "Modern Campground", complete with picnic tables (inside and out), chairs around the campfire, and a classic camper to see and not touch. +/- 1. Skout is popular and difficult to find a campfire or inside seat during Lunch and especially dinner. As weather was a bit cold and rainy at times during our trip to Ashland, this complicated warmer seating options. There are a number of tables available by the creek, which to me had a "feeling isolated" vibe. PRO 1. Gayle and decided to come for Lunch at their opening time of around 11:30, of which there was plenty of indoor seating. 2. Great burgers, tasty fries or kettle chips, and an impressive beer selection. My stout was really good and only wish for a Belgian offering? 3. Friendly, efficient, and hard working staff. 4. Casual and comfortable "great outdoors" vibe from our seats.

Why this place doesn't have a solid 5-star rating is beyond my comprehension. My travel companion and I luckily just happened upon it while driving around downtown Ashland in search of dark beer (I drink only stouts and porters). Friendly service, great selection of beers and bites, very cool vibe with the airy indoor seating area plus the outdoor fire pits with comfy chairs, picnic tables, etc. Loved it!

The food was delicious, the outdoor seating was comfortable and the location is right downtown. Very helpful staff.

Good place to stop in for a flavorful cider after wandering through Lithia Park. Employees are friendly and know their products. Lovely ambiance with communal picnic tables and heat if needed during colder weather. Would love to make it back to try some of their nummy sounding food items.

The location is awesome, but that's about it. If you plan on having a few beers and talking with friends, forget it. I've been there twice and both times the line to get a beer was at least 10 people long all waiting for one server to pour samples of practically every beer on tap to almost everyone. I spent most of my time there standing in line. What happened to table service? I would tip generously, but not after standing in the sun for ten minutes. You'd think that they could afford a couple of servers since they're charging $8-$9 a beer! NOT A REPEATABLE EXPERIENCE!

Fabulous. The iced tea was terrible, but hubby loved the brisket sandwich and the stout the bartender picked for him was great, he said. I was only up for an appetizer, and the Dirty Fries were really good. Oh, and house made potato chips came with the sandwich and were awesome. Staff did great in spite of how busy it was (long line, but it moved fine).

Location is unbeatable, the beer list is extensive, and the fire tables are a nice touch. I would say the food is decent, but not a spot I would choose for lunch or dinner with so many other great options nearby. Much more of a social taphouse to share drinks and
