Employees are nice. But the baked goods are never fresh in the morning. Always stale and old. bought a scone this morning and it was a horrible tasting

Gayle and I returned to the Village Baker for the first time since 2019. It was a little dark inside, and at first we weren't sure that they were open. But the door worked and soon I was trying to decide between a nice scone selection and a chocolate chip cookie. I think there was 1 guy working there and he was more than happy to take care of us. This place still throws off an Arizmendi-like vibe, except darker and quieter. The cookie was a "tank" - thick and heavy, albeit very delicious. We didn't try the bread this time around, but maybe we has some at a local restaurant?

This place is fresh bread heaven. There was so many options of bread and pastries to choose from, it was incredibly hard to decide, we wanted one of everything. Homemade, fresh, and delicious!!! What an amazing place to find on our trip to Ashland! We highly recommend!

Amazing breads made from scratch! Tried the garlic cheddar and the tomatoes basil and they both were delicious I even went gome and made them into grilled cheese sandwhichs! Thanks for going in to the back to grab us a fresh loaf today!

Worst service ever, this weekend I went in with my girlfriend and got some bread and pastries, they were great tasting. The worst part was the server was so grumpy, like he didn't even want to serve us.... I blew it off. Now it's Thursday at 11:50 I just want a pastry and I stand at the counter for over 5 minutes, there is at least 7 workers back there and no one said hello or even helped me so I just walked out. I wouldn't waist your energy here the vibe is horrible

So so, bread is really dense. Tastes good though and they are cool people.

By far the best sourdough bread in Grants Pass and the area, where I do all my food shopping.

While I was waiting for my lunch at Hither, I came here to get something sweet. When I walked in, it smelled soooooo good! After a while, a young man came out and asked what I'd like, and I got a coconut macaroon and a chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was sooooo good! I didn't get a pic of it...LOL! I could only eat half of the macaroon, but it was also very good! I didn't get a chance to go back, but it looks like they have some pretty good baked goods there.

I can't recommend this bakery enough. Their chocolate chip cookies are perfect. They're soft, large enough to share and delicious. I also highly recommend their scones, especially apple. Their bread is always fresh and delicious. There's so many great options to pick. Be sure to get there early for the discounted loafs. Each time I'm in town I stock with on bread and pastries at Village Baker.

I would not recommend the pastries here. However the bread and pizza are absolutely amazing! The staff can be kind of grumpy but I think that it's an interesting change if pace from the expected overly enthusiastic bakery counter staff ?. I'll definitely go back
