The salsa y tostadas, flautas, and beef tacos are genuinely some of the best dishes I have ever had in my life. Every single salsa was absolutely immaculate, it was too difficult to pick a favorite. I’ve never had beef as tender as the one in the taco… the tortillas were also perfectly thin and smooth. On top of that, the atmosphere and music were absolutely amazing. And of course the service too :) would 10/10 recommend and will definitely be eating there again !!

Thali is a culinary journey that is fresh, delicious, and authentic food rarely found in a restaurant. Every item we ordered was unique and special. We went as a family with our 12 year old and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Plan to return for a romantic date night.

Wow! I opened an account just to make this post. I wanted to take the time time to share our gratitude for our experience on Monday evening at this unique restaurant. This was our first time in, the food was so vibrant and delicious. Our server Michelle was so sweet and had such a lovely presence, the way she helped us decide what to order and how to understand the menu was so refreshing. I’m a longtime service-industry brat with a very real bias toward excellent food and thoughtful service. I’ve bartended, cooked, and catered at a high level in NY, LA, and abroad, so I don’t say this casually: the first time I ate at Tilalli, I wanted to work there.
This is a place to vibe and be nourished. The atmosphere feels like being welcomed into someone’s home — the kind where the recipes are handwritten, time-tested, and cooked with care. Nothing feels performative or pretentious. It’s warm, grounded, and deeply intentional.
The drinks are elevated and intelligent, but dangerously easy to drink. Whether you want something playful or something that carries you through a long, philosophical conversation, they’ve got you.
I’m never hungry when I leave — and honestly don’t want to eat again for hours because the flavors are so complete. One time, a staff member carried my baby through the restaurant so I could enjoy my meal uninterrupted. That kind of care is rare.
Tilalli builds real community. Once you eat here, it becomes very hard to enjoy places that are all surface and no soul. If you’re in Ashland, this is not optional.
Wow! What an amazing experience. From the beautiful colors and presentation of the food, to every last bite on each plate-our entire meal was incredible. I could eat those beef cheek bone marrow tacos every day for the rest of my life and still never get tired of them-they’re THAT good. Service and atmosphere were also 10/10. Go try this unique gem!

This was a fabulous date night for us. The food was FABULOUS. The atmosphere was warm and inviting even though they had many patrons it still felt intimate and like a space where you are family. We met one of the owners this evening and she was one of the loveliest people I've met. They have a vision of authentic food that not only feeds your body, it also feeds your soul. We left feeling more joyful and clearly it wasn't only the fabulous food, there is magic there that you leave lifted up by. We will be sharing this gem and be back! Can't wait for spring with music and poetry on the patio!
