This is why I don’t tip until after service. Waiting close to a hour for warmed pizza slice to go. Standing directly in line of sight of lady who rung me up. Thank God I didn’t tip for poor service. It’s rude for service. Ignored. I’m sure it’s a great place but I won’t be back. Zero stars for rude front counter staff. Unfriendly. You’ll lose your appetite before you even get a chance at their food.
Staff was super friendly! Vegan options available and clearly labeled.

A few solid vegan options, good size portions. Star of the experience was the vegan chocolate croissant and cinnamon roll. Some items can be spicy so if that’s not your taste, inquire about options. Updated from previous review on 2024-11-30
School bus driver passing through Astoria for the first time and was immediately drawn to the pride flag in the window. The staff and cafe were the epitome of warm and inviting for a weary traveler - and the coffee was delicious too❣️

Hey, really fun and inviting place to have a latte and a pastry, both of which were excellent. And the fellow that serve me couldn’t have been nicer or happier. Felt like Home and family. Highly recommend!

Not the best food, not the most options, but a place I always want to return to anyways
I would really love to say this place was great because I love coops and places that prioritize workers over customers. However, charging $10.50 for half a cup each of unseasoned brown rice and black beans and then an additional $1 for a teaspoon of cheese and $3 for maybe a quarter of an avocado is a bit much. The biscuits and gravy were also pretty flavorless. Also charging for a 16oz latte and serving an 8oz… I’ll come back to try the baked goods some time but probably won’t try any of the other food again.

Very cool spot for coffee, with a great selection of breads and bakery items that are on the healthier side! (Organic Ingredients). It was odd that they sold the NY Times paper for $8.50. But your experience will likely be very enjoyable
Decent location but the food is not great and the staff seem to be in constant chaos. Cafe drinks came out cold and wrong.

I ordered 2 quiches last week & both had no egg set up. They could be called pies. I brought the 1st one back & ordered another, picked it up on Thursday got it home & again it was another pie...no egg set up. Flat as a pancake. Took it back this morning & was told THEY would no longer accept orders from me. Like that is too bad for them not me!! They were very rude & did not accept the fact it was another bad quiche! Come on people I don't make the quiches they do! Naturally I could not speak to the pastry chef....busy. Good luck getting a real quiche.

Decent food, okay service, definitely overpriced. Would go somewhere different next time for actual food. Coffee would be my only move.
