My local. Calm, warm, extraordinary beer (sit down and take home), indoor and outdoor options, cool locale near an office park. Some scheduled food trucks & bring your own makes it even more homey!
Yet another great brewery addition in Astoria! It's a spacious indoors with a couple televisions and lots of bar seating. There are a few picnic tables out front and the front doors roll up to make the inside open air for warmer days.The beer is always top notch at Breakside; this visit was no exception. I only had the wedge salad but the Mama Lil's Peppers set it off. The service was great as well. Highly recommend a stop when in Astoria if you're new to or familiar...
So sad. I have always liked Breakside beer and still do, but very disappointed with the food. My hubby and I ordered, and planned to share, a $27 lobster roll ($22, but they force you to pay 25% tip). It turned out to be the size of a hotdog bun. Splitting this roll meant it was the size of your palm, or in my husand's case, one mouthful. We went home and had to eat another meal since this was actually an appetizer. Even worse, the roll was drenched in lemon juice. Because...
