We had the best experience at Carruthers tonight! We sat at the bar and had great service. The wine was great, the chowder and salad were both great! The halibut fish and chips were delicious and the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake were absolutely amazing! We will definitely be back…soon!

I'd recommend the "old" Carruthers. 2nd time there since new ownership. Ordered Thai chicken wings, got fried/heavily breaded chicken wings. The only Thai thing about it was a dipping sauce. Berry Margarita tasted like a very sweet slushie.

The section we were seated in was freezing cold. We asked if the heat could be turned on as everyone is our section kept their coats on, but were told the only heat source is the gas fireplace, but due to the glass panels dividing the tables, the heat couldn't reach our table. It was uncomfortablely cold. Speaking of cold, my soup arrived lukewarm at best and had to be sent back to be reheated. My husband's chicken was dry and tough, and had virtually no flavor except for the sauce. The potatoes were mediocre. I ordered white wine, but received red, which I decided to keep. The wine was good. We probably won't return anytime soon, which is unfortunate because the ambiance is lovely.

I came here with my family while on vacation and was pleased with every bite! The dungeness crab legs were very flavorful and fresh, would definitely recommend ordering. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was beautiful. Most definitely will be here again on my next visit

We were there about 6:30 on Thursday for an anniversary celebration. It was misting outside and both front doors we wide open. The eating areas are directly in-and-around the doors and it was chilly inside. Folks around us were eating with their sweaters/jackets on. We asked the server to close the doors and were told they 'COULD close one but the other would have to remain open'. There were only two servers handling both the bar and tables and they were doing their best. Definitely understaffed. I had a prawn and pasta dish with a basil garlic cream sauce. There were 6 nice sized prawns, and it was tasty. However, the basil was the itty bitty dried shake-sized. For for $31 a plate, I would have expected fresh basil. My husband had a New York steak plate for $41. The steak was nice and was cooked to order, about 5 thin asparagus stalks and quarted roasted red potatoes. .., no salad or before-dinner bread. We had one bottled soda and split a brulle dessert. We laid down $100 for that dinner. I would say the experience was cold, underwhelming, and disappointing. Won't be going back.

The rudest hostess I have ever encountered. Seems to be the norm up here in Oregon. But luckily when we walked out our next stop was one of the nicest ladies we have ever met. Was looking forward to trying Carruthers until the way we were greeted. Unfortunate but the way the world is these days.

We came back for our honeymoon dinner here last night after an amazing experience 2.5 years ago. Carruthers killed it again! The steak and crab cakes were to die for but everything was incredible. Our server Rae was so kind, attentive, and really made our night special. 10/10! ❤️

The place looks like a great spot for a date night and I don't mind spending a bit extra on some delicious food, but this was just lack luster. The Brussel sprouts and asparagus were underdone and the bourbon gravey reduction was not executed properly or reduced well enough. The other components of the meals were nice, but nothing to write home about. Perhaps it was just an off night, but an expensive blunder on my part.

We had reservations for 5:15 but didn't get main course until 6:50 after telling three staff members. Had to request water to be filled. People around us that came in after us got thru full meal and left with doggy bags, but we were still waiting. Waitress nice and attentive at first, then suddenly was bartending and left us. Something going on in back kitchen as seemed like plenty of staff. Food was fine but system needs fixing. Hope they get it figured out as atmosphere is great.

We loved our dinner at Carruthers! My partner and I got engaged and had a celebratory dinner here. The staff took great care of, ensuring we had a window view, and his steak was phenomenal. Highly recommend!
