We ordered the Dungeness Crab Benedict and could immediately tell it wasn’t Dungeness based on the color and texture. I asked the waiter to check with the kitchen, and he came back saying, “Yeah, Dungeness crab is expensive, so it’s a red crab mix.”
I appreciate the clarification, but this is something that should be clearly communicated on the menu. Most people wouldn’t know the difference, and we still paid full price for what was advertised as Dungeness crab.
For the cost, I expected transparency and the actual product advertised.

Carruthers was delightful! My boyfriend got the halibut, and I got the linguine with vegetables in lieu of chicken. We both wiped our plates clean! The drinks and service were also impeccable! Thanks so much!

So much fun in this little bit of downtown Astoria history. The food was wonderful and the specialty drinks are recommended. My favorite was the seafood chowder and the orange infused creme brullee. Our waiter not only served us with smile but also made our libations, highly recommend. The best food we had this week!

Wonderful experience! We came for our Anniversary dinner and the filet and crab were done perfectly! You have to try the mussels appetizer. Everyone was Awesome!

My wife and I dined here Thursday, July 17th, and are still talking about it ten days later. Our server, Rae, was thoughtful, helpful, and kind, I had the best caesar salad of my life, the drinks were fabulous, the steak was perfect, and the orange creme brulee was a divine conclusion to one of the best meals I've had this year. I wish I could give this place more than five stars. We will definitely be back!
