It's a treat to have such a lovely spot in Astoria. The food is fantastic, the service is attentive yet low-key and the setting is classic Astoria. We've been multiple times since they opened and have never been disappointed.

We drove over from Long Beach because we are foodies and this seemed like the spot. The hostess was lovely and the wine program was solid. However, we got the pre fixe at $95 a person and it just didn't deliver. For that price point, there wasn't a course that had the wow factor. Texture was lacking and everything was oversalted. We would have forgiven this had the service been on point. Unfortunately our server was apathetic and seemed unconcerned that the food was not hitting the mark. If I am leaving with a $400 bill, I wouldn't expect to be filling my own water glass throughout the 3 hour meal. This place has potential but either needs to level up or reduce their prices to reflect where they are at.

Incredibly delicious food in the middle of Astoria. The dishes are sophisticated, yet their simplicity highlights how delicious and life-altering they are. A truly culinary experience worth a lifetime, all the way from appetizer to dessert. The service is top notch as well. I am honestly surprised this place does not yet have a James Beard award or a Michelin star. If I could nominate them myself, I would! 5/5 stars highly recommended. Cannot wait to come back to Astoria to eat at Daphne again! Thank you so much for such a terrific experience for my wife and I!

Hands down the best meal and dining experience I’ve had this year.
We did the tasting menu with wine pairings. Every dish was thoughtful and absolutely delicious. No notes. All of the wine complimented the food perfectly.
Everyone was so friendly and our server was an absolute joy.
We had the best time and will be back as soon as possible. What a gem of a restaurant.

We choose the tasting menu. Everything was great, but I would suggest the the portion sizes be reduced. We were too full to eat the last course and still have room for the dessert. When we asked for a box for the last dinner course, our server mentioned that someone else had asked for a box for their last course because they were also too full.

My husband and I went in for an early anniversary dinner while we were in Astoria, and holy SMOKES, what a treat! Service= excellent. Chow= EXCELLENT! We had the halibut, the heritage pork, the compressed peach dish (can’t even express how tasty this was) and the bread, and we will definitely return next time we’re in town. 100% recommend.

This is arguably the best restaurant in Astoria, and possibly the best on the Oregon Coast. Google only allows 5 stars, so I'll add a sixth one here +⭐. Wanted to find a nice place to treat my wife while visiting Astoria, and Daphne's was the perfect choice. Fantastic service, and everything we ordered was amazingly good. We dined here for my fella's birthday and it was a fantastic meal. The food was amazing and the service was great, attentive but not too fussy. All the dishes included seasonal ingredients sourced nearby, and the flavor combinations were thoughtful. My favorites were the beets with fermented blueberries and the lemon posset. Most dishes featured some beautiful pops of color and/or edible flowers which made them appeal to the eyes as well as the mouth. I was happy to find they had quite a few vegetarian options, even if there was only one large plate option and no options for adapting the tasting menu. While the food qualifies for fine dining quality, the atmosphere was classy but somewhat laid back which we liked. We will definitely return next time we're in town.

Wanted to love it but if you are honest it was all mediocre.
-Slow service, beyond the normal pace of a high end restaurant -The heirloom tomato small plate was...cherry tomatoes. Don't charge me heirloom tomato price for cherry tomatoes...tasty though -The salmon was well cooked but flavorless -The halibut was bone dry and way overcooked -5 stars for the whey bread

Got lucky for not having reservations (it was on a slower weeknight) and had a relatively short wait at the great cocktail bar next door until our table was ready. Food was creative and beautiful and delicious, service was wonderful, and all this for reasonable prices (in the new restaurant economy) a short walk from our house. Will be back soon and often.
