Pleasantly surprised! The place we wanted to eat closed right before we got there so we hurried over to Golden Luck as a last resort, not expecting much besides typical greasy Chinese food. Even though it was right before closing for them as well, staff hurried up to take our to-go order with a smile, then turned the “open” light off, so we knew we were way past cutting it close. But they happily took our order anyway. The food came out SO quick that we joked on the way back to hotel that they had just thrown together other people’s leftovers. But we were blown away by what was actually in the box. The food was perfectly hot and everything was delicious! The beef was tender and the sauce had perfect balance of salt and sweet without being too heavy. Chicken was fried perfectly - light and crispy outside, juicy and tender inside. This place was definitely a hidden gem … we would never have gone there had the other restaurant been open, but I’m so glad we ended up stopping by!
Take out order of Pork Chow Mein and Fried Shrimp. Had ordered pan fried noodles to replace the crispy variety to put under the Chow Mein. Instead of receiving 3 boxes, 1 for each item ordered, I got ONE big plastic box FULL of lousy panfried noodles. Was difficult to find anything that resembled pork Chow Mein, bean sprouts almost nonexistent, not anything like the Chow Mein I got the last time. The shrimp was not breaded or fried, but a few pieces thrown in that chewed like straight gristle. Yuck. And price? $15.25 for this unappetizing mess of 98% cheap noodles. I am so done with this. Horrible.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant to eat from in town. The family is extremely polite and make amazing food, the amount of food you get for the price can't be beat either!
