Waitress/bartender barely seemed to speak English and was hard to understand. We had to remind them to bring our soup. Bloody Mary, tiny, and tasteless with zero garnishments. Didn't notice any beers on tap. Lounge now resembles a gambling hall. One worker/owner(?) playing non stop. Food just okay. Meh

I know it doesn't look like much on the outside and the inside is dated, but the food is delicious. The service is great , the food is delicious, the portions are large and the price is reasonable based on the portions and quality. It was the last Chinese restaurant location we tried in Astoria because of how it looked from the outside. We were wrong, don't judge a book by its cover, it's the only Chinese place we eat at in Astoria. Love this place and highly recommend you give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

In August 2025, we visited the Hong Kong Restaurant in Astoria, Oregon. We came to Astoria from out of state to do some boating and fishing. Hong Kong Restaurant had delicious and plentiful food, and definitely satisfied our appetites. The food was fresh and prepared quickly. We ordered the House Special and Chow Mein dishes, and this was plenty of food for 2 adults. Hong Kong seems to charge reasonable prices for the quantity and quality of the food provided. Eating here was an enjoyable and memorable experience.

The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. But the food, tasted like cardboard with sauce. Chow mein had no noodles. Stale fortune cookies

Solid spot for Chinese food in Astoria. The beef chow fun and beef chow mein were both tasty, and the staff was really nice. I appreciate that they are open late.

We had a large group. Service was great. Food was ok. Pan fried noodles were not like any I had before. Very bland and rubbery.

This is the best Chinese food in Astoria Oregon ( In our opinion). We have tried the competition The food is fresh, and very hot. Service is prompt, and friendly. To start our table had egg flower and hot and sour soup. Both were hot and good. My plate had General Tso's, fried shrimp, pork chow mein and fried rice. The fried shrimp was cooked to perfection! The General Tso's was very good as well. Fried rice was tasty. I wish the pork chow mein had a bit more flavor. My spouse had Fried shrimp, Chicken subgum, fried rice and BBQ pork. His only complaint was that the BBQ pork was bland. Servings are large and filling. The restaurant itself is a bit dated, but so are most there in Astoria. We will be back.
