Super friendly staff, vegan (yes they have vegan cheese!) and veggie options. We had the soy chorizo empanadas, easily could've had something else, many choices. Portions sizes are good, youll be leaving with some leftovers most likely. The homemade tortillas are legit and tasty AF. 100% Grab a cerveza while your here to if thats ya thing. One thing to note, is that the soy chorizo is the only filling in the empanada, some veggies would be awesome. Updated from previous review on 2026-01-02
Fabulous food in a spectacular setting! We had shredded beef and chicken in our dishes, both very flavorful. The restaurant sits on Youngs Bay with outdoor seating in nice weather. The owner is very friendly. We will return!

Such a warm and homey spot on the water. It smells amazing as soon as you walk in, the service is great and the food is phenomenal. Having soyrizo is a huge plus, really vegetarian and vegan friendly!

Our second time here while visiting Astoria. Last time was during the summer where we enjoyed ceviche out on the back deck overlooking the river. This time it was rainy and cold out, so we enjoyed the green chicken pozole special and the birria tacos featured on the back of the menu inside. Food was once again excellent. Do not pass up an order of chips (with pico de gallo or guacamole or that excellent ceviche). Their hot sauces are tasty and seriously hot. I also very much enjoyed the agua fresca (jamaica) which was generously up to the top of my glass and just the right amount of sweetness. There was so much soup that we took half of it back to our vacation rental to enjoy the next day!
Parking has never been a problem. But keep in mind the closer you park to the right side by the bridge, the harder it can be to see incoming traffic off of the bridge.
Service is friendly and helpful. You can tell that everyone involved in this lovely place truly cares about the food and the customers' experience.
We look forward to always coming back when we are in town.

My new favorite Mexican spot on the entire. The mole is excellent. It’s also really hard to beat the view.

The restaurant we had decided to go to ahead of time in Astoria was closed for a special event, so this was a last minute decision -- and I'm glad our original choice was closed! The food was delicious, the portions were huge (all three of us took another meal's worth of food home), the server was incredibly friendly, and answered our questions cheerfully. What a gem! Great views of the water and the Astoria-Megler Bridge. It has a comfortable indoor dining room and a large protected outdoor dining area. We chose to sit indoors; most other diners while we were there chose to sit outside. I ordered the Guisado Plate, and it was incredible and flavorful. I was told the protein could be replaced with soy chorizo or potatoes. I chose potatoes because I love carbs. I also had the agua de jamaica (jamaica agua fresca). There were three different hot sauces provided. Bonus, a fledgling Double-crested Cormorant was exploring the lawn outside, so we had dinner entertainment.
One of my favorite restaurants in the area! Extensive menu and all that I have tried has been fantastic. If the weather is good, the view from the patio is fantastic!

Our first visit was a really great experience except service was slow. The view is awesome. The server is friendly but just needs to come around. I think they're covering too many tables. And the food was great. We just went recently and the food was not so great. Server still friendly but we don't see them often enough and have to flag them down. Shrimp cocktail was full of ketchup and that's all you could taste. My Chile relleno was way too cheesy. They are filled with cheese but that was ridiculous. We still may go back in the future.

The guisado plate with soy chorizo was huge and delicious! Also recommend the tamarind agua fresca. Our server understood 'vegano' and it was easy to leave off the queso. I didn't even know they had vegan cheese until reading these reviews! Didn't miss it tho😄 Can't beat the views and the authentic charm. Updated from previous review on 2025-08-30
