Absolutely fantastic meal at Pho Mekha in Astoria! We ordered the caramelized chicken wings, two grilled pork dishes (one with rice, the other with thick noodles), and a bowl of traditional pho—and every single dish was excellent. The flavors were rich, balanced, and deeply satisfying. Having lived in Vietnam for a year, I can confidently say the food here is impressively authentic.
The staff were equally impressive—attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout the meal. The service and atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable. I would absolutely return and will be sure to visit their Portland locations as well. Highly recommended!

Okay seriously….I was dining here and the servers/kitchen staff were outside the restaurant HANDLING PIGEONS WITH THEIR BARE HANDS and then would walk back inside the restaurant to serve customers WITHOUT WASHING THEIR HANDS. I know they weren’t washing their hands because after literally letting a pigeon perch on their forearms and eat directly out of their cupped hands, they would pick up food and bring it to customers all within a 30 second window. That’s disgusting man.
If the staff does this in the open who knows what they are doing behind closed doors. Do not trust this establishment to serve you food. A mediocre (and expensive at 18 dollars) bowl of pho isn’t worth contracting some horrible disease. Pho is one of my favorite foods so this is particularly sad
