Great service and food. Especially loved the rice! The interior booths with horses were cool. The floor was clean so were the walls next to us. Nothing more gross than being in a restaurant where you see other people's food splattered on the wall or sitting on the floor next to your feet.

Plaza Jalisco Mexican Restaurant was a delightful place for us to enjoy our dinner. My husband and I visited there 5 years ago on the occasion of our 40th wedding anniversary when we vacationed in Astoria. We found ourselves back in the neighborhood again, so we returned for another lovely meal. They did not disappoint us. The special for the night was Camerones con Mojo de Ajo, my husband's favorite! It was sumptuous, with big, juicy shrimp and plump mushrooms in a delicious, garlicy butter sauce. I chose Sopitas with shredded beef, no dairy. They were perfect, with a large helping of tasty guacamole on each sope, and served with fluffy mexican rice and delicious beans. Our son had a combination of three items, Chile Verde, Chile Colorado and a Chile Relleño. Each seemed more delicious than the last! We were all very pleased with our choices, and with the excellent service as well. The prices were quite reasonable, and we had a very enjoyable meal throughout.

First off had hair in the salsa that came with the chips. Then the plate of food was greasy and tasted off, didnt even finish a shared plate. The margaritas had barely any alcohol in it. The waiter only apologized did not take any fee off the cost. Just a sad experience all around. Won't be back to this facility.

Fajitas: is your secret sauce a baptism of cholula? Because damn. These would have tasted better with less secret marinade…. Let the meats and veggies speak for themselves. Add some color… red and orange peppers to bring it to life. I was overpowered by tangy unpleasant cholula flavor.

I got the vegetable enchiladas and my daughter got the burrito. Both filling and delicious! Fairly priced too which was nice.

Enjoyed delicious lunches on a May weekday and there was only one other person eating in the whole restaurant. The man who greeted us was also the server and he cooks! We mentioned the delicious, tangy salsa and he said he makes it, so we bought some to take home.
