Great service and food. Especially loved the rice! The interior booths with horses were cool. The floor was clean so were the walls next to us. Nothing more gross than being in a restaurant where you see other people's food splattered on the wall or sitting on the floor next to your feet.
Plaza Jalisco Mexican Restaurant was a delightful place for us to enjoy our dinner. My husband and I visited there 5 years ago on the occasion of our 40th wedding anniversary when we vacationed in Astoria. We found ourselves back in the neighborhood again, so we returned for another lovely meal. They did not disappoint us. The special for the night was Camerones con Mojo de Ajo, my husband's favorite! Enjoyed delicious lunches on a May weekday and there was only one other person eating in the whole restaurant. The man who greeted us was also the server and he cooks! We mentioned the delicious, tangy salsa and he said he makes it, so we bought some to take home.
