The food was very good, clam chowder, salmon sliders, and shrimp cocktail. Also, it's called Artistic Dinning. This is the second restaurant that covered the tables with white butcher paper and crayons. However, I always have art works with Mr, "Wreck of the Peter Iredale"

Went in for chowder, saw everything else and forgot about the chowder. I'm sure the chowder is good too, but I had to ensure I had room for all the other treats on this menu. Top notch all

Born and raised in Pacific Northwest. Yeah you could say I'm a bit of a chowder snob. So, you have to believe me when I say best chowder I've ever had.

The young lad in the bar who waited on us was amazing. Food and drinks were on point as well.

The only thing that saved this from being a 3 star was the dessert. The food is not worth the price. My wife ordered the small filet and was served, and charged, for the large. We had to wait far too long to be offered dessert after they had cleared our plates away and then once they brought the check it took far too long for them to pick it up and run it.That being said, I don't know if you're going to get much better in this area, so 4 stars.

Ambience is good, and the waitstaff was friendly, but I had the blandest "Cajun" food I've ever tasted in my life. Two of us at the table ordered the crawfish etouffee, and we both agreed it was bland. I had to salt mine several times just to be able to eat it. I'm not sure how a chef makes Cajun food so tasteless, especially at this price point ($30 for a medium sized plate).

Hidden gem in Astoria, excellent food and service! Their chowder puts Moe's to shame.

Our server was Ethan H, Table 32.We went here for the Chowder. It was a cold wet January day, and many of the other restaurants were closed, and they had a sign up stating that they had been recognized for their clam chowder.Honestly I couldn't really taste much of anything in this except what seemed to be lots, and lots of hot cooking cream. No real subtlety of flavor, no herbs save maybe a hint of thyme, no clams, not even the taste or sight of potatoes.Honestly I would make two recommendations eat on the bar side, on the restaurant side where we ate we kept being surrounded by religious groups eating here and got to overhear some rather bizarre conversations I wish I could unhear, and the second is given how few restrooms are available in this area don't eat bowls of heavy cream.Synopsis: Calamari type dishes are probably good, avoid the soups, and the bar area is probably more lively and relaxed than the fancier restaurant area.Honestly overall? Try one of the more dive bar restaurants if they are open. This restaurant was fairly busy, so I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt because even though it was listed as a signature dish, the local clients were eating the seafood excluding the chowder. That having been said the price, for the quality and service presented just did not seem that awesome. For a date night or anniversary I would definitely go elsewhere.

Went for my birthday and did not have the best experience. Had the blackened aSalmon which was a very small portion for $30 and never came with sauce as menu said. Calamari and fish and chips were soggy like the were deep fried in cold oil. Worst part was the service. Never came and checked back and when I flagged the server down for a second drink and desert she got upset and said she’d be by when we she had time cause she didn’t have any time. She never came back and I had to pay at the bar. Worst birthday dinner ever. Clam chowder was good though and only highlight of the dinner.
