I am in Astoria for a weekend vacation, and was looking for a scenic coffee shop that was still open at 4 p.m. Luckily, I ended up at Sleeper!
This place is adorable. Wooden interiors, a view of the docks and the Columbia, and incredibly friendly and welcoming staff.
I got a chance to meet the owner, and he's delightful. I guess he's currently downsizing his comic collection, so I even got a free Hellboy comic!
Both the latte and slice of chocolate cake I selected were delicious, and very beautifully presented.
Absolutely loved visiting this spot! Figuring out how to get to the shop itself can be a little confusing for out-of-towners, as it's actually situated out on a pier. But it's totally worth it.
