Ordered a rice and red bean burger, fries, hush puppies and my girlfriend ordered chicken and waffles.
The challenge with red beans and rice as a burger, is you gotta come up with the flavor. And oh my goodness, the flavor is amazing!
Salt, sweet, crunch, avocado, hot bread, stretchy cheese, with a wild pickle punch in hidden bites!
The fries are natural cut, seasoned, and not. I repeat, not soggy! They were firm, had a good crunch, I didn’t even need the ketchup that came with it.
I wasn’t able to eat the whole thing, and it made for a great dinner as well. (It reheats well)
The hush puppies with the honey butter… it was like eating an apple fritter inside a hush puppy. Truly a great twist on a southern classic
Please give this place a try, anything and everything on the menu I’m sure is amazing. I mean, if you can make a red beans and rice burger taste that amazing. You can’t go wrong with anything at this place.
Parking: Just find anything within 2 blocks and park. Don’t even bother trying to find an up front spot.

Shrimp po boy was so good I didn't get the chance to take a picture. The breading and fry on the shrimp was excellently done. There was a lightness and freshness to balance the fry that I haven't experienced in a po boy in forever. Owner was friendly and down to earth. Eat here and you'll be happy.
