Me and my husband stayed in Bandon for several days. We were told about this place so tried is an evening for dinner. We got there at 4:55 and they close at 6 so assumed we'd be fine. We waited in a 10-25 min line ordered and was all good. 20 mins later we were told half our order was not actually there as they way over sold all the chowder and had none left. That's fine it happens and we're there mostly for the fish anyways. Well 20 mins later still no fish and chips. My husband asked just to see how much longer as we were meeting family later...they had totally forgotten the order. We finally got our 2 plates of fish and chips at 6:07. Fish was pretty good, best in Bandon but not like best on the coast good. Fries were bland but the halibut was quite good. My husband wanted to try them again on Sunday before we left and he wanted a calm lunch of fresh fish before we had to go back to way way inland and no ocean. Showed up about 1:30ish on Sunday (st Patrick's day) and was only 1 person in line. He ordered clam chowder and a plate of cod fish and chips. It took almost 40 mins to get his food. There was only 1 person in line so not sure if they were backed up or what but again so slow. So while their food is pretty good only go if you are prepared to wait a long time. We come to visit family on the coast a lot so may give them another go this summer during peak and maybe it's smoother but will for sure also be trying other places because the wait is just too long for good fish and plan un-seasoned fries.

It's always a pleasure to visit this place. I ordered the rockfish this time, and took some smoked salmon chowder to go. The rockfish was hot and crispy as were the fries. The coleslaw was good. The smoked salmon chowder is one of the reasons I will always go back. There is indoor and outdoor seating. There is an available restroom in the back. Everything is fresh, and delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

It's been almost 16 years since my 1st visit to Bandon Fish Market. It was my favorite fish & chips place for several years. I moved away and only visit Bandon 2-3 times a year. We headed to the coast today to enjoy the sunny warmth at Sunset Bay. Feeling nostalgic for Bandon, we drove there for an early supper...on my first visit this year (2024). I was REALLY disappointed. The prices had gone up and the portions had shrunk...to 3 small pieces/chunks of cod & a tiny cup of coleslaw. While the fish & fries were still tasty, the coleslaw was rather bland. The dressing did nothing for it and the slaw tasted old. I find it hard to blame inflation for the small portions & poor taste. I consider this my last time eating there.

The staff was friendly and helpful, I loved them. I’m surprised it wasn’t busier- there was plenty of room for seating. The fish and chips were fantastic, it was a lot of fish for the price and tasted very fresh.

The halibut fish and chips were amazing and so was their clam chowder! Loved the dried cranberries in their cole slaw, too. Would definitely recommend!

If you want a grab and go to take down to the pier, this is a 5 star selection. They package your food with utensils inside ready to go. For inside eating, I would have preferred a plate. That's a minor criticism, however. The food is great and the staff is pleasant and fast. The cod fish and chips meal is a lot of fish and could be shared by two. The breading is perfect and the fries are slightly battered and fried to perfection. The cole slaw lacked a dressing so it just tasted like raw cabbage. I'd opt for a different side next time. My friends loved the sandwiches and can see from the pictures that they give you a nice-sized helping. I would 100% eat here again and highly recommend you eat here and enjoy beautiful downtown Bandon!
