Abuela Chona Reviews
Awesome empanadas! Loved spinach, ham & cheese and hot chicken!
such fresh, tasty goodness. the empanadas are spectacular & we are partial to the chicken, spicy chicken, chorizo & soicy chorizo - when they are in stock! the alfajores are amazingly decadent. great chimichurri. not a fan of the papas. go early, because they often sell out before the day is over.
Their food is so good, we’ve ordered by the dozen just for our family and eaten them all week! I’ve never said no to an empanada from Abuela Chona, seriously!

Abuela Chona is a restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience. The food is consistently praised, with the empanadas, cheese and cracker plates, and chorizo sausage sandwich being particular standouts. The French baguette is crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle, and the chimichurri steals the show. The wine selection is excellent, with customers enjoying the malbec and other Argentinian wines. The burger meat is great but could use more seasoning. The ambiance is well-received, though some guests note the lower dining room can be chilly and the noise level can be high. The flan is a great way to end the meal, and the service is outstanding. Overall, Abuela Chona provides a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.
