Love the lunch Thali here. Other goodies, dosas, chai tea, mango lasi, vegetarian puffs,...on and on. Very friendly staffs.

I have tried quite a few items here but this review of 5 stars is ONLY for their goat biryani which is top of the world. The only other contender, which if you haven’t tried yet you should, is Bombay Biryani in old downtown Hillsboro. Back to Apna, they are super generous with the amount of rice as well as being reasonably priced for the type of meat it is. For some strange reason, their chicken biryani is not as flavorful as their goat biryani since the rice looks very similar to each other. We ordered both and were a bit taken aback at the difference. As for vibe, we prefer to take out as the seating is not something we like. The place is always busy so understand the service could be slow but they do their best. Strongly recommend.

The food here is out of this world! So fresh, and HUGE portions! The biryani and Apollo fish are 11/10.

Food was great. Just didn’t like the attitude of the male staff person who took our order. Seemed to be visibly and quite selectively arrogant.

Love the food! Can't say enough. Might look low key on the outside and inside but let the food talk. And the little grocery store attached is cool. The samosas were so good and so affordable the sauce it comes with is amazing.

Re-visited recently. Food was much better, especially idlis. Changing to 4 stars. Original review follows: Usually good and quick food here. Today, the idlis were dry and tasteless. Masala dosas are always great (and huge). Onion uttappa was good. Tomato chutney is amazing (mint chutney too spicy, tamarind chutney too sweet). Service is never polite, but always efficient. Great value overall.

Called in for a pickup order. I had to wait in a 20 minute ordering line to pick up my food and I came home to COLD and bland food. I’ve tried this place twice and I’m never going to come back.

While the Veg biryani portion size is huge, there are barely any vegetables in it and not much flavour as well.

I hope they can improve the recipe and also offer more vegetarian briyani's like other places.
