Absolutely lives up to the hype. Stepping in the door you're no longer in Beaverton, but a little pocket of Puerto Rico. The food is excellent and this place absolutely deserves to be busier.
We were warmly greeted and promptly seated. Great menu, service was quick and the food was very enjoyable. We enjoyed ourselves very much here. This is definitely a little gem you need to visit !
We went to Boriken and it was packed! Good sign. Service was slow due to them missing a person in the back. We order a couple of the tender steak with garlicky sauce. The steak looked boiled or poached. It lacked flavor without the sauce. It was dry and not tender. The side of yellow rice was not warm. The chicken monfongo (sp) that we ordered was very good. Dish was very tasty. Would order again if we go back. Food is authentic and perhaps if it wasn't so busy and lacking...
