Quick and filling. Always friendly staff.
We love coming here. The wait staff is very friendly and fast, and the dining area is clean and has fun decorations. You get to watch your food cook on the large round grill, while the cooks do a complicated dance around it.
You get a bowl of rice and a bunch of flat pancakes for your table. The rice is sticky, so it absorbs the sauces really well.
Definitely recommend coming in early, as it gets busy fast. You will be waiting in line to get your food cooked for an average of about 8 minutes. It's not too bad though, the food is worth it.

Ordered lunch specials...spicy chicken lacked spice. Meals served lukewarm. Restaurant very unbusy, but drinks came late. Manhatton cocktail served with cheap maraschino cherry. Cost for the Manhattan and Bullett rye on rocks, $19 each. Server polite. Good news for me: I've eaten here in past, never will again

Chang’s is sorta’ a local chain/institution in and around Portland. This location is functionally the same as any other location (having been to the one in Salem, as well as the one in Portland). How can you tell? This review is almost identical to the one I left for the location in Portland.
Decent pricing for what you get and, well, what you get is what you choose. Fairly good range of meat and vegetable options. Excellent staff and customer service, with a special shout out to the almost always smiling hosts and servers who are quick to refill a drink and check in on your table no matter how busy they are.
Sure, the interior could use a refresh. Sure, the options bar isn’t always as clean as it could be (even if they are always quick to refill near-empty bins).
But, all in all, this is a great place to go if you are hungry. Recommended.

Yum we went for our anniversary lunch at about 1pm on a weekday. It was not crowded and our server was so nice. I love Mongolian grill and this was first time having it in this area. It did not disappoint!

I cheated on my normal Chang's location (the one by Target) for this one, and boy did I regret it. The guys in the back are doing their best with the tiny grill they have, but I lost my appetite once my plate came back with cross-contamination. The buffet bar is a mess. Giving this three stars because Chang's is still my guilty pleasure.

Expensive food costs plague this mediocre menu that has few options for sauces. The meat selection is average compared to the HuHot franchise as well as the sauces. Their menu would benefit greatly if they had recipes on a sign to help diners come up with flavorful meals. The service is good, but servers aren't so attentive to refill drinks. The food quality also is not there with the cost per meal.
For Chinese food, I would rather spend my money elsewhere where the food has rich flavor like China Wok in Hillsboro or Taste of Sichuan in Beaverton.

Stepping into this buffet isn't just a meal; it's an epicurean adventure where your appetite is the only limit. From the moment you lay eyes on the sprawling buffet, piled high with everything from beef to lamb, you know you're in for a feast of epic proportions.
Every corner holds a new surprise, a dish that beckons you to try "just one more bite." The buffet station alone could keep you happily occupied for hours, with its clean bowls.
Sure, there are fancy restaurants out there, but sometimes you just want to indulge in the sheer joy of endless deliciousness. That's where this place shines. It's a celebration of food, where you can let loose and sample everything your heart desires.
So grab a plate, and prepare to be wowed. This isn't just a buffet; it's a foodie's dream come true. By far the best place I've ever gone to in my life

I love this place. I’m Whole Foods plant based and they have tofu and tons of veggies and rice noodles on the bar and they serve rice and rice paper wraps with the meal. It’s always good there. Just know they only have one main sauce and it is similar to hoisen sauce.
