This was our first time eating here. I can honestly say we won't be returning. Our server was beyond amazing but food was not great tasting especially for the prices. The dumplings were 0/10 and I really wanted to like them. It was soggy dough balls with no flavoring at all. The Macaroni and cheese tastes exactly like stoffuers. ... or as my bf put it.... deli Mac and cheese from a grocery store. The hasbrown balls were 10/10!! Cooked perfectly and the seasoning and flavor was amazing!! The counrty fried steak was pretty tough and the gravy wasn't good. Not enough flavor even with adding salt. My bf said the burger was ehh. It was very very thick and wasn't seasoned well. He didn't even eat half of it. Our bill not including tip was $50

Ordered chicken tenders with mashed potatoes and a side of string beans. Potatoes looked pre-processed, not tasty. String beans were in small pieces that looked like they had been scooped up from the bottom of a big pot after being stirred many times. Also not tasty. I expected the chicken tenders to be battered and fried. They looked pan-seared, but we’re not bad tasting. The biscuit was good. Waitress was taking forever to bring bill because she spent a long time chatting with other customers. When she finally brought the bill, after I asked for it, it was someone else’s bill.

I have always been a fan of Cracker Barrel, and I was headed to another restaurant and saw this and immediately thought of grits. So, a change in plans. I went in to order breakfast and have my grits. The first thing is the menu is now very different with a lot less choices. I asked the waitress about grits and was informed they no longer sell them. Ouch!!! I ordered my breakfast and no choice of a side of toast without having to pay for it. Again, another Ouch!! I reluctantly placed my order and waited. When my order arrived, the portions were not like they use to be, and I considered them very small compared to other places. I ordered thick cut bacon and what I received was far from that. I think if I placed two slices of the bacon, I received together it may be about the slice on a thick cut if I was lucky. After I finished my breakfast, I asked for a slice of apple pie, and they no longer carry apple pie. The reason I gave these two stars instead of one was because the waitress was awesome. I was very dissatisfied with my experience, and I can honestly say I won't be back. I used to really like this place and it makes we wonder if they are having financial issues because of all of the changes with the menu and the portion sizes.

Cracker barrel is your classic southern style cooking, but from an all white practice. Don't expect soul food. But that's not a bad thing. It's all the classics of southern cooking with what most people will like. The atmosphere is meh. This is because along with the actual restaurant is a country store. Where there is WAY too much stuff. It's a lot of house decor with various clothing attire, and kids knick knacks, and lots and lots of candy. This is why there is a negative score. It's just TOO much stuff. The whole store is crowded with no actual lanes for finding things. It is far worse when there is actually a line of people waiting to be seated, since at that point, it's basically just people standing around and waiting for a table, in an already overcrowded store.Once you make it past the actual store, you'll get to the restaurant part. Here you'll find a nice country atmosphere, a huge fireplace, and seating for over 100. The food is great. I've been here about 6 times and have always got something different. So I've tried a few different things. One major thing to note is that prices have risen significantly. We went here in February and nothing was over $16, as of now, nothing is LESS than $15. So don't go here thinking it's going to be cheap. The worst part of it all, was the bathroom. It's pretend clean. It looks clean but spend a few moments there and you'll see filth everywhere. The floors were sticky, the urinals were dirty, the toilets haven't been properly cleaned, and nothing looks that great. The service was very mediocre. Our waitress was unenthusiastic, no one really seemed happy, most seemed tired and exhausted. It's new years day, but that's pretty safe for customers to have such a mediocre experience.I'll probably come back again, never the food is good, but don't expect anything else to be all that great.Vegetarian options: They have plenty of vegetablesKid-friendliness: Not really kid friendly, but there are games at every table, and lots of kids toys and candy in the store.Parking: There are not lots of spaces. And the front seems very cramped, especially for handicapped parking.Wheelchair accessibility: There are parking spaces and ramps, but not automatic doors.Dietary restrictions: It's country food, I'm sure you can have them change things around, but if you're on a diet, don't eat out.

The atmosphere is cozy and the staff are polite and friendly. This made the already good tasting food great! It was a memorable experience to eat at Cracker barreled restaurants. Will recommend it to my friends. ????

We walked here from our hotel, and we were interested since we had never been to a Cracker Barrel before (despite some being "north of the border" in Wisconsin). We didn't have super high expectations but were fascinated by it, having never been. I would not recommend going when there is a wait; the food doesn't justify such a wait. However, we came in before a big rush, and we liked how friendly the atmosphere was. The decor is kitschy and old-school, but it felt clean and organized in the restaurant (maybe a newer location?). Our waitress Misty was so sweet! The menu was limited because it was Thanksgiving morning, but we didn't mind. However, good for them for being in the 21st Century and adapting to various needs. They have plant-based meat alternatives, as well as egg whites, the latter being less surprising. We didn't love our food - some of mine seemed dried out and very much pre-made. Some of it was far too salty. However, I tried some of my husband's pancakes, which he was very happy with. They were unique in a good way, a bit like cornbread. Definitely something to order here! They were also fast with the coffee refills. The store is super cheesy and silly, but I got a few little trinket-type gifts. There are plenty of Christmas items. I was surprised to see chocolate coins hidden among the candy. I tagged them as Hanukkah gelt in my brain, and they might not have been, but I'll take whatever representation I can get ;) Also, the store employees were super friendly and bantering with each other the whole time, clearly enjoying being there!

I destroyed our baked turkey. So, I had to take four people out for a turkey dinner in Beaverton, Or. I'll never make that mistake again. $19;a plate bought us mushy green beans, dry turkey breast, a splotch of gravy (about two tablespoons that didn't even cover the meat) and about three tablespoons of sweet potato mush.. The food was cold. We were given cold rolls and one little cup of butter to go between 4 people. I'm not making this up or being mean. We could have gone to any church or the Portland Mission and recieved a turkey meal better than the one we got at Cracker Barrel. The focus there seems to be on the farm implements hanging everywhere and the gift shop. We recognize that there are many people in the world that didn't have anything to eat on Thanksgiving and would have enjoyed having that food. Free and your starving to death. Those are the only two things that makes Cracker Barrels holiday meal worthwhile.

How can I say NO in a way that reflects my disappointment and downright disgust?! This location in particular has been open for a while now and there is so much truth to every negative review I have seen posted. Since when did the food quality and portions become complete garbage?! Instant powder mashed potatoes, plastic tasting Mac and cheese, green beens that had ZERO flavor and horrible texture. Chicken was dry as a bone and breaded with rock hard breading you could crack a tooth trying to chew, yet the salt was so heavy you could smell it. All three of us in my group couldn't eat a single item we were served. Our bill was around $80.....yes they offered to bring us different menu items but what's the point of that?! The cook obviously can't do the job he was hired to do. We gave our sweet server a tip, and didn't bother paying the bill because again... the point?! I'm sure customer service or the manager will be reaching out as they have done with every negative review... let me be clear... I DO NOT WANT ANY COUPONS you guys can't cook at all much less southern food. I will not explain my experience any further to you. This was my experience. I'll never step foot in this establishment again, don't bother trying to get any more info.

Met friends for dinner on a Friday at 5:30 - our first time here. Disappointed they had sold out of the "fried pork chops" and "Chicken pot pie" My substitute burger was tasty and hot. My hubby's substitute "Chicken fried steak" was very good. Our friends had some type of "fried" chicken breast with gravy - which they said was VERY good. Very moist from the bite we tried. ******************************As much want to recognize "Sheridan" what a terrific waiter, friendly, efficient, funny and took care of us always cheerful/funny and positive. Just back from his honeymoon and shared a great short story about this! CB needs to clone him!!! We can't say enough good things about how delightful he made our meal experience! Browsing the "store" will bring back memories with nostalgic candies- even if you don't buy anything it is great to look around.

Service was great, so we're my side items, green beans and mashed potatoes. The biscuits were soft and nice, best ones I have had in a while. But I got the Sunday Fried Chicken (two breast pieces), and it was both heavily beaded and salty. Somehow this is not how I remember it from having it in the past. So overall a disappointing experience.

Changes in menu. Items like grilled catfish, pinto beans, and cornbread muffins are off the menu.

Wonderful food and ambiance!

This place has a very cool interior. But the service and food leave much to be desired. We have been waiting for a very long time for our order to be accepted. The food is not delicious. The portion of French fries was very small. The pecan pie was supposedly from Costco.

Took my dad there yesterday for lunch. Put our name in online which said it would be a 30 minute wait. Showed up at Cracker Barrel 15 minutes later and was told it was going to be 30 minutes. 45 minutes later we were called to be seated. I get that systems aren't perfect but I did the online thing to hopefully shorten the wait at the restuarant because it's hard to wait with my dad. He has Alzheimers and he's like trying to herd a cat at times. We ended up waiting an hour and fifteen minutes when originally it was only supposed to be 30. Oh well. We finally get seated only to discover that they have dowsized their menu and got rid of all the good stuff. We were so disappointed. My mom was Southern and I was basically raised on Southern food. The reason I come to Cracker Barrel is to get fried okra, turnip greens, pinto beans, grits, chicken and dumplings, etc. etc. My mom recently passed away and my dad moved in with me from out of state. I wanted to surprise him with some southern cooking but that didn't happen. I ended up getting the southern fried chicken which was hot but super greasy (it wasn't drained properly), the southern style green beans (bland and no flavor, nothing southern about them), mashed potatoes and gravy (pretty good), and biscuits (cold, not kind of cold but cold cold). My dad ordered grandma's breakfast sampler which he said wasn't good but he also dumped a ton of salt on his pankcakes and buttered his eggs (God bless him) so I take his remark with a grain of salt. I did notice that the meat portions he got were pretty sad. Literally a half strip of bacon, half a bacon strip sized piece of ham and a smoked sausage thumbnail. Servers and staff were nice. One thing I didn't like was receiving my check before the food even came. I'm used to getting it while we're eating but getting it before food even came was new to me. The whole experience for me is the southern food and now that's gone. I can get pancakes, hamburgers, and fried chicken anywhere. I know there are other places to get southern food but Cracker Barrel was close and convenient for me. I guess I'll have to start recreating my mom's recipes again. I can cook southern food it's just that my husband and daughter aren't big fans (crazy right!?!) and there's usually a ton of leftovers.
