Food is a hit or miss. Veg thali and curries were okay. Chat, vada pav and sweets are disappointing. Mediocre service at best. Don't expect much in terms of ambience - the place is a dump.

The food was amazing. I got the green veggie curry and some paneer on the side!! I am definitely making this might go to place!! And to top it off the gentlemen working were so sweet. My friend has never really ate Indian food and he gave her three free samosa, how sweet!! Well looks like I found my new favorite restaurant. I’m gonna go back in a couple days and get an assortment of all their sweets. They looked delicious.!!! Thanks for being loving and welcoming. That’s what makes the world a better place!!!

We were so disappointed as we wanted to eat their buffet on Saturday and when we got there, they said there is no buffet as they have a birthday party. they are all over social media but didn't even bother to notify customer there is NO BUFFET TODAY. Very bad business practice. I am giving 1 star because of my disappointment.

The food was phenomenal, the service was warm and very kind, and it's a great spot to eat. We came in on Dewali and even though they were very busy for the holiday they made sure we were taken care of. If you want good Indian food, Desi Bites is the place to go

I visited this restaurant during a short trip to Portland, and it was a very disappointing experience. The food was stale and had a strange smell. The meat was extremely rubbery, and even the biryani didn’t taste fresh — to make matters worse, I found plastic pieces mixed in with the food.
When I mentioned this, one of the employees admitted it was the chef’s mistake. However, the owner still asked me to bring back the stale food, especially the chilli chicken, even after I clearly told them it had already been thrown in the dustbin.
This was supposed to be a simple meal during my one-day trip, but it turned out to be the worst experience I’ve had in a long time. Definitely would not recommend. Avoid at any cost.

Buffet on weekends is one of their specialty. Especially cholle bhature makes worth going every time. If you are new do give it a try!
They are very dirty, and the food was not good at all! Everything was spicy, I don’t recommend this to children at all, and the people who work there are dirty! Plates don’t get wiped after washed, stuck together, forks have food on them and dirty, and spoons also. I had kid’s and when I went there I just wasted my money they didn’t even want to eat it, no plastic forks or spoons for children. First time I saw a buffet that is this disgusting. Ruined my appetite for Indian food’s and buffet. And everything was done barely any foods in the pot. And they add spice on everything, there bread is burnt. And it was loud and disruptive, it was like I was eating scraps.

The quality of the food is utterly bad. The chole poori I got had some black powder like particles all over it and was super oily, I wondered how long the oil would have been reused. At most other Indian restaurants I have been to, serves food with non-plastic plates and have silverware at approximately same price points, here almost all the items comes in a “Plastic” containers.
