I needed to order a very special custom cake for my daughter's graduation reception. I was short on time but when I contacted The Dessert Tray, they were just amazing to work with. I sent them a picture for what I was thinking of and they recreated that image in a beautiful and delicious cake!! I was elated with how great it turned out and everyone at the party thought it was awesome! There was a tassel on the cap but I accidentally knocked it off....I will always return...
Their carrot cake will absolutely ruin any carrot cake you’ve ever had or will ever have. My local grocer used to carry it but now I have to make the trek to Beaverton to get it. well worth the drive!
The cake I got here was okay. I ordered a 6" round vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream, which was $50. Pretty decorations and professional look, but the texture of the cake was crunchy/grainy around the outside, as if the sugar in the batter had crystallized. (I could feel it crunching as I cut a slice and was worried there was something inside.) The cake was also very sweet, but tender.
