The more I wait, and wait, and wait for doordash orders here, the less I want to eat here. They're the slowest fast food chain anywhere, and they touch the food too much. The bags are never closed, and they're always greasy.

We come here often. Wednesday 615pm, service was slow. Fries were old, and burgers were dry. Every time I'm here, the cooks ALWAYS press the cooking burgers. The reviews on the wall claim juicy meat but to achieve that, never press the meat. Yet the cooks don't seem to understand that. I see that in all the locations we visit.

The pros vs cons

1. The food is great, at last why I’ve eaten. They give you huge portions of fries, a little greasy(maybe it’s the peanut oil).
2. There plenty of places to sit and you have a few choices of self serve condiments. Those who take our orders have been very polite. They’ve got good customer service at the registers.

Cons;
1. They don’t have anything but beef. No chicken, no options for vegetarians at all, unless you count the fries.
2. If you’ve got a peanut allergy, stay very far away from the restaurant. They use peanut oil to fry the fries. They also use refined peanut oil for their milkshakes. They even got peanuts out in the lobby to eat.

Normally I love Five Guys, so it's really unfortunate how disappointing this time was. My friend, her boyfriend and I all went out to get five guys before grocery shopping yesterday (5/24/25). We ordered our food in store and then took it to go so we could head to the grocery store and eat in the car before shopping.
The first thing I noticed was my bacon was burnt and my burger only fit on half the bun, and then half the bun was empty. Frustrating, but fine.
Almost instantly, my friend started to not feel the best after eating it (sweating, feeling nauseous), and soon after, her boyfriend also starting not feeling good. This morning I woke up experiencing symptoms of food poisoning. My friend and her bf are pretty sure we got food poisoning from this location, and I think they're correct.
Will not be going to this location again, and honestly probably wont get five guys again for a VERY long time.

This place is closed on a random Sunday afternoon, I have 30 minutes for lunch and I'm spending it being pissed off that they charged me thru the app for a burger I'm not going to eat :(

The folks that work here are great. They are friendly and courteous and they work hard. My order is always accurate. The problem is with the quality of the food. First, the mushrooms are canned. No one wants canned mushrooms. I’d love it if they offered a real mushroom Swiss burger. Secondly (and this is the real problem), anyone who has ever made homemade fries from scratch knows you fry them once, remove them from the oil and let them rest a few minutes, then fry them again. 5 Guys doesn’t do this which makes their fries soggy and uncooked. They only do the first cooking phase. If you ask them to make them crispy, they come out burnt. They need professional lesson on making fresh cut fries: fry the batch, remove them, let them rest a min or two, then refry them. It makes a world of difference. Theres all these rave reviews about how great their fries are but it can’t be THESE fries. There must be other restaurants around the country that make them correctly because no one raves about soggy, uncooked fries. I hope a manager at the Cedar Hills location reads this and tries this method I’m suggesting. Any google search on making fresh cut fries will tell you that you have to cook them twice. It’s a game changer. Also, have fresh mushrooms and offer Swiss cheese. And give huge kudos to your staff. They’re amazing.

Got the small single patty Bacon cheese burger... Was literally more bacon than beef... Less beef then bacon was good tasting but it should be bacon sandwich with burger topping instead of the other way around
