Cozy ambiance and delicious food! The ramen was great, loved the broth. Service was excellent. It was a but chilly inside, I was hoping for more heat with the cold weather. Will be back!

Food was mid. Tried ramen and chicken katsu with curry. I’ve been to japan countless times, and seeing the reviews made me excited because i haven’t seen auth jap food in portland. Ambiance was nice, the food tho is disappointing. The curry consistency was not even thick, didnt taste like jap curry. Tried asking to make the curry consistency (THICK) but they said they couldn’t do it. So if you like watered curry i guess you’d like this. For the price i expect somewhat good. For the black garlic deluxe ramen - noodle is thick and soft idk why? I suggest just buying japanese instant noodle at this point 😢 didnt taste the garlic and the pork was hard? Chicken katsu - my katsu came in burnt i think its because they dont change the oil for frying. Sad

Absolutely fantastic raman. It was brought to us by a little robot, came quickly despite the restaurant being full and was very flavorful. Absolutely recommend this place. We will be coming back!

i loved the broth (both tonkotsu and veggie) and the black garlic oil. the chashu was ~85% fat and smelled very, very porky & almost gamey, which wasn't pleasant at all. also, i wouldn't really call it chashu -- rather just a short strip of flavorless pork belly. nonetheless, the noodles were very bouncy, the garlic flavor was quite potent, and the tofu topping was great.

This is our favorite ramen place in the area. Sometimes it's busy so there is a wait but once you're in the food and service is super quick. Can never go wrong with their black garlic ramen.

We love FuddoYama! The ramen is delicious and they have a variety of traditional Japanese comfort food.

Food tasted above average but service wasn’t friendly or attentive . However the ambience is pleasant with warm lighting and Japan inspired these flags and misc decorations
