Not sure what restaurant NYT reviewed but this wasn’t it. Sitting in a tent outside in a parking lot and waiting 30 minutes for food to hit the tables wasn’t what I expected for $50+ meal involving two 12 inch pizza and $8 canned beers. The pizzas’ qualities included being generally uncooked, having soggy centers, and a lack in flavors. Side sauces were either extremely bitter or overpoweringly fragrant. At least the staff were friendly. Don’t forget to bus your tables after leaving an 18% recommended tip.

Got the burrata and margarita pizza. The burrata was really good! Simple but very tasty. The margarita was ok. Service was great, all smiles and welcoming from everyone including the kitchen staff.

Was refused service. Server said we could order takeout then said never mind. Any place that refused service isn’t worth going to

Pizza is so good that you may just smile while eating. You might even be able to get a dating profile picture depending on if your friend is a good photographer.

Lastly, the service is extremely good. I was offered to have my plates taken for me, but I declined and did it myself since it's right outside for us (pre rainy season).

The pho pizza tasted great. The underside of the pizza was a little burnt tho so you might taste it depending on your taste buds

Parking: They have free parking in the rear but it is limited. Alternatively you could park on the street depending on how busy it is

The pizza was great but $2 for a tiny cup of ranch was not. Could do a to go order so I sat at a table then grabbed a to go box 👀. Ceaser salad was $12 bucks for some lettuce and light sauce,🤷

Often, I go to restaurants that have been hyped up by the media and leave disappointed. With Hapa Pizza that wasn't the case. I was floored by their Banh Mi pizza, which was so rich and beautifully flavored. The pork was tender and the other ingredients were high-quality. The crust was light and airy. A really fabulous pizza. 5 stars for that.

I wasn't especially impressed by my wife's pepperoni pizza, which I thought was a little bland and missing some basil and/or oregano. Both pizzas were likewise overpriced in my opinion.

Okay, so this place is definitely riding the whole "gimmick" wave, but honestly, the food is pretty flavorful. What they're doing is basically taking the flavors of phở, khao soi, or really any Asian dish you can think of, and slapping them on pizza dough. It's gimmicky for sure, but the phở pizza? Delicious. I'd give it like an 8.5/10. Now, the khao soi pizza was a bit of a letdown—anemic portion of chicken, not as balanced, so probably more like a 7.5/10.

Price-wise, it's pretty much what you'd expect from a fancy pizza place, maybe a bit on the higher end, but nothing crazy. What I was really hoping for, though, was more of an actual fusion between Asian and Italian flavors. Instead, it's more like "here's Asian food on pizza dough," and that’s it. Like, imagine if they did something legit like a yuzu lemon perilla leaf pesto with prosciutto. That'd be actual fusion. Also, I felt like the pizza had a little too much crust compared to the toppings—might just be a one-off, but it threw the balance off for me a bit.

Have to give stars or it won't accept the review. Interesting experience. Waited in line on Saturday night, got put on guest list. Got called early to order and be seated only to find out that the one pizza we wanted was now "Sold Out". Thinking there has to be a better way to let people know when they are waiting that items are sold out. "Sold Out" is strange to me when the menu is so small but so is the place so maybe they just cant make enough since this seems to be the norm. Hope to give it another try at some point...........

There is a reason why the New York Times rated this as one of the best pizza spots in the country, it's that good. The Vietnamese inspired pizzas such as the Banh Mi and Pho pizzas are creative and amazing. The crust is awesome. It's busy here but the crew is some of the friendliest around. Highly recommend this great new addition to the Beaverton dining scene.
